To begin with,
Selling Price of the vehicle was $27,652
The out the door price was $33,826.58
Now, Let's break down the $6,174 difference.
A "RECOMMENDED" Paint Protection Package+ / and Some type of bumper to bumper "Protection" package (PPP+) For $1,995.00
A Pre-Delivery Service fee of $1,298
And of course, state taxes and registration fees which are to be expected.
But, that is a $3,293 dealership markup.
So, I drove 3 hours to come to this dealership to purchase a vehicle. I arrived to the location, Walked inside and was greeted at the front door (This was nice, Not a complaint.)
Now, the gentleman who greeted me must of been new at the dealership, Which is understandable. But, it made the whole ordeal longer, I asked him about the one vehicle (a Cadillac), which is the only one on their lot, he asked if we had the inventory number for it so he could try to locate it. After 5-10 minutes he ended up finding the vehicle and brining it around the front. We went on a test drive, I liked the car of course. I've done alot of research on it so I knew all the details of the car, but the salesman didn't know a lick about it. (Again, it's a Cadillac at a Kia Dealership so that's not a huge deal.) But, then we get back to the dealership, I explained to him that I do want the vehicle and I have my own financing that's when everything went south. I was approached by someone from the finance department trying to talk me me into doing financing through them, They stated that the RECOMMENDED PPP+ fee would not be taken off and there was nothing they could do on the price of the vehicle since it's already been "Marked down as much as they could" He said it himself that it was a loser for them. So, after I let him run my credit and NOT BEAT MY RATES FROM MY BANK as I told him 5 times that they wouldn't be able to, We then proceeded to sit, in the lobby for 3 HOURS, Everyone that was in and had walked in after us had been dealt with first. We finally got out of the dealership at around 8-8:30PM. I'm not sure exactly what time we got there but I believe it was about 3-4pm. Once we finally got into the finance room where they could take my check and issue a registration it only took about 5 minutes.
Overall, Terrible experience. Extreme markup, saying they're Recommended packages that you can't say no to. I did purchase the vehicle, but that was because they happened to have the one outfitted the way I wanted. Not because I wanted to do business with them. The car interior was filthy, Rearview mirror was loose along with the cover around it. Car is missing the fuse cover for the rear fuse panel. Like, I feel like they could of put alot more care into selling the vehicle than they did. Just awful. Will never go back.
How they have good ratings is beyond me. These guys completely lack integrity and transparency. They tried to charge me for a CPO fee we negotiated out and then found a way to bake it in as part of the dealer fee without telling me which I realized as I was signing the paperwork. The financing people were the worst. They pushed and pushed for me to get a warranty. After the finance guy failed to sell me the warranty he brought in his manager who also tried to sell it to me. They told me the only way for me to get the lower interest rate was to purchase a warranty. Luckily I planned to pay the car off immediately so it didn’t matter, but I’m pretty sure thats illegal. If I hadn’t already moved over all of my stuff into the car I was purchasing and needed to go pick up my kids I would have walked away. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Love the car but absolutely do not recommend the dealership. There are WAY better ones out there.

Spoke to salesman several times in reference to a deal on a 2023 used car. Asked if vehicle had any problems multiple times going back and forth for over a week. Spend $800 flying over to pick this vehicle up. Salesman says someone can pick me up at the airport. The morning of they have no one available to pick me up so tell me to take an uber and they will reimburse me. Get to the dealership and the car has damage in multiple spots not shown on photos. There were several spots on the vehicle where poor repairs had been masked. There were parts missing off the vehicle. The driver headlamp was shift from a wreck. Then to top it off it is leaking oil underneath with a puddle on the ground which was obvious. I asked the salesperson if he could see this as it is obvious and he tells me they don’t look for that. The sales manager comes out and asks me what the problem is and I explain it to him. I have to drive this vehicle 11 1/2 hours back home with oil leaking and a burned oil smell coming from the vehicle into the inside. He tells me he is going to pull the paperwork on it. When he comes back, he tells me yes they did find an oil leak when they inspected it and it was approved to be repaired. He doesn’t know why they didn’t repair it. When speaking to the sales manager, I asked if they could just take $1000 off to compensate all the problems and I would repair them. The reason I asked this is because they told me there was a charge of around $1600 on it that was from their inspection where they check and repair the things needed that are dangerous problems. I feel like oil leaking everywhere covering the underneath of the vehicle and two bad front tires would fall under this. Bottom of the story I spent $800 flight there, $160 uber to get to the dealership, $70 uber to the hotel because they wouldn’t even offer to give us a ride, $180 hotel, $400 for a flight home to pickup this vehicle they told me was in great shape and didn’t have any problems.
⚠️ WARNING: Major Design Flaw & Awful Customer Service
If you buy a vehicle with the console dial shifter, be extremely careful. The cup holders are positioned right next to the dial, but the shifter assembly is not waterproof whatsoever.
At just 8,000 miles, a few minor drops of a drink splashed onto the dial, causing the shifter to completely freak out. This is an absolute design defect—how do you place cup holders next to critical electronics without any weatherproofing?
To make matters worse, the dealership refused to cover it, claiming it wasn’t a warranty item. It cost us $800 out of pocket for a repair that took a week and a half. Because they classified it as a non-warranty issue, they also refused to provide a loaner vehicle, leaving us stranded.
The way this dealership treated my wife and me was completely unacceptable. The customer service sucked, and the lack of empathy was shocking. I wouldn't recommend this service department to my worst enemy.
If you own or are looking at a vehicle with this setup, consider this a warning: your shifter is a ticking time bomb. Do not dare put your coffee or any drink next to it, because a single stray drop can short it out and leave you with a massive bill.

I had a mixed experience with Kia of Port Charlotte.
My salesman was great — professional, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the buying process. Unfortunately, the finance department completely changed the tone of the experience. I felt talked down to and treated as though I didn’t understand what I was discussing, which made the process uncomfortable and frustrating.
I also specifically stated that I only wanted GAP coverage, yet an additional warranty product was added during financing. At the time, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted to finish the process and leave. After later speaking directly with the warranty company, I was informed that this additional warranty was not required in order to obtain GAP coverage, which made the situation feel misleading.
On top of that, I still have not received my second key despite several attempts to follow up with both the dealership and corporate. Communication after the sale has been very disappointing, and getting basic issues resolved has taken far longer than it should.
While I appreciated the salesman’s help, the finance experience and lack of follow-through afterward left me with a negative overall impression.
