I paid 125.00 in brake parts, not much of a problem there. I went home to do the brakes on my truck. in the middle of the job I noticed a bad part that needed replaced before I could finish. I figured I could call and have them put aside a part , the correct part, for my wife to run directly up there and purchase it . NOT !!! The person on the phone looked up the part I needed and REFUSED to put it aside or even write down a part number to make things go easy when my wife picked the part up. Very poor customer service if you ask me.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
