  We have rented several 16' lift-gate trucks from this Pensacola location over the past couple of years and, until now, have continued coming back when we needed a truck. We reserved a 16' truck for pickup this past Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Before pickup, we were called and told they did not have a 16' truck available and that our only option was a 26' truck, even though the website showed a 16' truck as available. We agreed to take the 26' truck. I arrived for my 8:30 reservation but did not receive the truck until around 9:00 because it had to be picked up from the shop that morning. Shortly after leaving the lot, the entire cab began shaking. I stopped at a gas station to fill the truck with diesel, but BEFORE putting fuel in it, I called the Enterprise office. I specifically asked whether the truck had been shaking when they picked it up or whether this was normal. I was told no. I explained that I would go ahead and put diesel in the truck and keep the receipt in case the shaking continued. Unfortunately, it did. I returned the truck to Enterprise, and one of their employees drove it and confirmed that the shaking became very noticeable once the truck reached approximately 35 mph. Enterprise refunded the rental charge, but refused to reimburse the $175 in diesel I had just put into their truck. My issue is that I called them BEFORE purchasing the fuel and specifically discussed the problem with the truck. Had anyone told me at that time that the fuel would not be reimbursed if I had to return the truck because of a mechanical issue, I obviously would not have put $175 worth of diesel into it. The office manager was not there, so the employees contacted the area manager. I asked to speak with him and was told they would take my information and that he would call me back that day. He did not. I called again on Thursday and was again assured that Brandon would contact me. Once again, I received no call. I eventually had to make another trip back to the Enterprise location today just to speak with a manager in person. He confirmed that they would not reimburse the diesel. After being a repeat customer for the past couple of years, this was extremely disappointing. The $175 is frustrating, but what bothers me more is that I called BEFORE putting fuel in the truck, explained exactly what was happening, and was never warned that I would be responsible for the fuel if their truck turned out to have a mechanical problem. Add to that two promised calls from the area manager that never happened, and the entire situation was handled very poorly.

  Best group of folks to help you with your business! They always go above and beyond for us! I will recommend this rental location over any other rental location out there! I drive out of my way to go to this location because of the team there! Very upstanding people
