Sadly, the person at the front counter was very rude and did not want to help me find the right size for my vehicle. I ended up waiting in line for almost twenty minutes just for them to tell me they were completely out of stock. It was a super frustrating experience when I was already stressed about my car breaking down.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
