They cancelled the first appointment last minute and the second appointment was 5 days later. The technician arrived late and was not very professional. He played loud music from his van which some neighbors commented on. I was working from home that day and saw him drive off in my truck without authorization and didn't return for some 12 minutes. On return he continued working but when finished he got in his van to drive off so I ran out of the house to thank him. That is when I noticed the damage on both the passenger door and fender of my truck! He actually tried to deny any liability and said it was like that. I told him that I had taken a video 20 minutes prior to his arrival showing clearly no damage. I then told him to call his manager which he did. Whilst speaking to his manager he was still trying to make out that he didn't cause any damage. I then spoke to the manager informing him that I took a video just 20 minutes prior to his arrival showing clearly no damage. The manager then told me don't worry we will take care of this and asked me to take to a body shop 30 minutes away. I asked if this was wise as windshield had just been installed at which point the technician added I have just driven it down the road and it is fine to do so as we are Florida! This led to another question of why he was driving my truck without consent and missing for 12 minutes! He replied that he had to calibrate the camera to which I replied I have had a couple of windshields replaced over the years and all were calibrated on my driveway. I arrived at the body shop and they asked to see the video I took before the damage which I showed them and they agreed that there was no damage prior to Safelite arriving. I even found our home security had captured the technician before and after the damage which you can clearly see after he closed the door making a clacking noise on the fender. He then goes to examine the damage (red handed) that he caused. Since submitting all this evidence the local manager of Safelite Palmetto is now denying liability stating that the panels were not aligned! I have called Safelite 3 times trying to escalate this situation and am still awaiting a return call! I certainly would not recommend Safelite to anyone but will seek legal advice if I have to.

Took them 4 attempts to replace my windshield. The camera was broken on the 1st, the windshield was cracked on the 2nd, the windshield was installed and it was cracked and not factory which insurance approved on the 3rd. The receptionist was extremely rude from the minute my daughter and I walked in and to my husband on the phone. She was only nice when the manager was present. They acknowledged that they messed up 4x but did not apologize for the time wasted going back and forth and getting transportation for the multiple times of going back and forth to pick up and drop off the vehicle and having to reschedule. She should not be working in customer service.

Replaced my windshield, they didn't re calibrate the safety sensors. As a result my vehicle has almost crashed 5 times. Avoid. If you'd like the details of my experience you can read the following letter filed with the AG of FL. I am writing to file a formal consumer complaint against Allstate Insurance Company and Safelite AutoGlass (Safelite Group, Inc.) for conduct I believe constitutes unfair and deceptive trade practices under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (Ch. 501, Part II, Fla. Stat.), and which has placed me and other Florida drivers in serious physical danger. On 4/17/2026, I filed a glass claim with Allstate, my auto insurance carrier, after damage to the windshield of my 2026 Ram RHO. Allstate's claims portal directed me exclusively to Safelite AutoGlass to complete the repair. The portal does not present a meaningful choice of vendor; in practical terms, policyholders are funneled to Safelite as a single-source provider. Allstate paid Safelite directly for the windshield replacement, including the cost of recalibrating the vehicle's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) - the cameras and sensors that control lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The Problem - After the work was completed, my vehicle began behaving dangerously. On at least five separate occasions, the lane-keep assist system has actively jerked the steering wheel and forced the vehicle toward an adjacent lane while another vehicle was occupying that lane. I have narrowly avoided collisions each time. This is the textbook signature of a windshield-mounted forward camera that has not been correctly recalibrated after replacement. When I returned to Safelite, I was told that Safelite is unable to recalibrate the system on my vehicle. When I went back to Allstate, I was told the claim has already been paid out and that any further recalibration - quoted at approximately $500 at a qualified facility - is my responsibility to cover out of pocket. I am therefore in the position of having paid premiums to Allstate, having had Allstate pay Safelite for a job that included recalibration, and now being told that the actual safety-critical portion of that job is mine to pay for again. This Is a Broader Public Concern, this is not an isolated billing dispute. A review of public consumer forums, automotive enthusiast boards, and Better Business Bureau filings shows a recurring pattern: Allstate steers policyholders to Safelite through its portal; Safelite performs the glass replacement and bills for calibration; the calibration is either not performed, performed incorrectly, or declared impossible after the fact; and the consumer is left holding the bag for a vehicle whose collision-avoidance systems are actively malfunctioning. Because ADAS faults often manifest only at highway speed or in specific traffic conditions, many drivers do not realize the danger until they are already in it. I believe the conduct described above raises serious questions under Florida law, including: Unfair and deceptive practices under FDUTPA - billing for and representing that a safety-critical service has been performed when it has not been. Anti-steering concerns - Florida's auto glass statute (§ 626.9892, Fla. Stat.) and related insurance regulations restrict insurer steering of policyholders to particular repair vendors. The structure of Allstate's claims portal warrants review on this basis. Consumer safety - a malfunctioning lane-keep assist system that forces a vehicle into adjacent lanes is not a cosmetic defect; it is a foreseeable cause of serious injury or death on Florida roads.

Horrible service provided by Tania! Unprofessional and rude person that doesn’t care about a customer satisfaction. I went in to change my windshield and left without changing it and with a horrible experience. She didn’t provide different options of service, didnt explain process and I received an email while waiting for the job to be finished saying “pre approval receipt. After opened it I went to Tania to ask about the type of windshield they were going to install and she then said it was a aftermarket glass which I didn’t want, I wanted an original. She told me my insurance doesn’t cover that but when I called my insurance I learned that large part of it is covered. Therefore she was lying to me. She then said my old glasses was already cut out and I asked to put the glass back and will go some place else. Very rude attitude, eating a fruit while attending customer is not very professional. Unprepared and untrained employees at this location. My recommendation is look for another place!
