The the battery did not have the negative part to attach cables and we had to consult the manual to jump the car. We finally got it jumped and the vehicle was running. I was already stressed out and went straight to Advanced Auto Parts. Junior welcomed me, diagnosed the battery and changed it all in a timely manner. He demonstrated the utmost professionalism and made me feel at ease. I highly recommend this store and ask for Junior. He is one of a kind!!!

My battery was dead but I knew I had a warranty on it from another location. Apparently they didnt connect it to my account or something. Junior was happy to help. The battery wasnt even made two years ago. He knew I was still covered. He went above and beyond. Was so friendly. Sometimes men at car places try to take advantage of women. He called for approval to replace the battery and had it done it 10 minutes. THANKS, Junior! Its nice to find someone who doesnt try ripping me off but actually helping.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
