They both went above and beyond to help me in my car needs. I will never go to another store again, its the Advance in Oxford for me, always. From battery testing to Mike's insane amount of automotive knowledge and Josh's robust personality, these two both deserve raises. I could go on for hours about Mike and Josh. In my 87 years on this planet I have never received such dedication and devotion to my car issue, with Mike's knowledge and Josh's assistance, I was done and ready to go in no time. Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
