Do not trust a single word the employees at this location say! They are running a textbook damage scam, and they deliberately try to take advantage of families and unsuspecting renters.
From the second we arrived, the customer service was abysmal. The representative who handled our rental was incredibly rude and clearly couldn’t be bothered to do their job—they flat-out refused to do a vehicle walk-around or review the BMW X5 with us before handing over the keys. When we got to the car, it was filthy. The rims were covered in a thick layer of brake dust and dirt, and the interior smelled awful. We now realize the disgusting state of the car was completely intentional: they leave the vehicles dirty to mask pre-existing dents, deep scratches, and rim damage so you won't notice them.
Thankfully, my husband and I recorded a meticulous video and took photos of every single inch of that vehicle before we started the engine.
Sure enough, when we returned the BMW, they immediately tried to pull a fast one. They aggressively tried to pin all of that pre-existing damage on us, tacking on a fraudulent $700 penalty. It was a blatant, calculated attempt to screw us over on purpose. They expected us to just roll over and pay it.
They changed their perspective when we showed them the undeniable, timestamped video proof of the car's condition from day one. They immediately backed down and admitted it was a "mistake"—but it wasn't a mistake at all. It was a scam that failed because they caught the wrong ones.
They are actively trying to get over on customers to cover the costs of their damaged fleet. PROTECT YOURSELF: do not leave the lot without video evidence of the entire car. We were lucky, but many others won't be. This location has zero integrity.

🚨 SCAM WARNING: Avoid Sixt! They Will Try to Charge You For Existing Damage! 🚨
I will **NEVER** rent from this location or Sixt ever again. This was an absolutely horrible experience from start to finish, and it is a complete rip-off.
When we arrived to pick up our rented BMW X5, the customer service representative was incredibly rude. To make matters worse, they completely skipped doing a walk-around review of the vehicle with us and the guy just wanted to see the receipt so he could leave. The car itself was a mess—the rims were absolutely filthy, the interior smelled bad, the fluids weren't filled and ran out the first day, and it was clear the vehicle had not been fully or properly cleaned. Because of the layer of dirt on the rims and the car and the multiple existing scratches, dents, and issues all over the vehicle, it was obvious they were trying to mask the car's true condition. Keep in mind, they were quick to show invoice of "Repair" on this one issue they made but didn't bother to fix the other 20 some odd scratches and dents across the car before we got it? Also sketchy!
Thank goodness we knew better and recorded a detailed video and took pictures of every single square inch of the vehicle before leaving the lot. Even got them on video while recording the car saying they checked every part of the car when they didn't when I was showing them the issues, I said, "You don't need to mark these off", his response was "Nah Nah Nah that's ok, you're good, there's a form, don't worry about it" Good thing I got him on video saying that too.
When we returned the car, their shady tactics immediately came to light. They tried to blame the pre-existing damage on us and hit us with a ridiculous **$700 charge** for damage we absolutely did not cause. They are clearly counting on customers being careless so they can get over on them and bank on fraudulent damage fees. Even after we emailed them proof, they still sent an invoice.
The moment we brought up our upfront proof and showed them the timestamped video and photos, they suddenly backed down and owned up to their "mistake." But make no mistake: they only did that because they got caught red-handed. Their response so they are not legally liable for lying to customers and ripping them off is "decision does not imply any statement or liability decision regarding any claims made by any parties involved in
the above mentioned incident other than Sixt." Lawyers speak for, oh we messed up but we aren't taking the blame, we just wanted your money!
**DO NOT LEAVE THIS LOT WITHOUT TAKING A PICTURE AND VIDEO OF EVERY SQUARE INCH OF YOUR VEHICLE.** If you don't, they will absolutely try to scam you. We got lucky because we were prepared, but I am not at all surprised they tried this. Shady operation, abysmal customer service, and an outright attempt to rip off customers. Avoid them at all costs!
