The representative who helped me pick up the vehicle was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the process smooth and easy. I was so impressed that I recommended Sixt to many of my coworkers and friends. Unfortunately, my experience took a complete turn after returning the vehicle. I extended the rental for 8 days and paid for each extension as it was approved. After returning the vehicle, I was unexpectedly charged nearly $400. When I called customer service to understand the charge, the representative could not explain it and refused to transfer me to a manager. I was asked to provide screenshots from my bank account showing my payments, which I promptly did. However, I was then told that a manager would call me sometime after the weekend. As of now, no one has been able to explain why I was charged this additional amount or provide any breakdown of the charges. It's extremely frustrating to have an unexpected charge of this size appear on my account with no clear explanation and no immediate support available. What started as a great rental experience has unfortunately become a very disappointing customer service experience. I hope Sixt reviews this matter promptly and provides a clear resolution.
