Quick and Easy check in at the airport. The friendly girl at the desk (forgat her name, but shes from the Boogie Down Bronx Originally) asked us if we wanted a more fun car than the boring Wrangler my husband picked. Thank God she suggested because we upgraded to a BMW X2 that was brand new and we are so thankfull!! The car was spotless, fun, fast and everything we needed!! It was indeed a FUN car and im so thankfull for her suggestion!! The x2 went from Orlando to Clearwater to Marco Island, Miami, Cape Canaravel, and back to orlando. We went everywhere in fact we put almost 1500 miles in two weeks!!! Return at the aiport was a BREEZE!! Thank you SIXT and NY girl at the counter that hooked us up! well def rent with SIXT again no doubt.

Customer service was great, very friendly, very pleasant encounter. Reasonable priced . Then it went left . Got the car rental .. within 10 minutes of driving ..sensor of tire pressure going low.. pulled over put air in the tire . With in matter of seconds. .tire pressure was losing fast . We pulled over on thr side of the high way. Tire flat! Like FLAT ! Called SIXT to let them know we had flat tire. Representative asked if we ran over something.. ah no we drove out of the garage into the highway ! Then she proceeded to tell us that the Jeep dealership would have to be the one to come out. Asked if their was a spare tire .I said yes . We changed the tire! . Returned to the rental for another exchange! . As of today I am being charged over $500 for a new tire, $200.00 administration fee and a convince fee . Now its 9am im on vacation. . Its hot in Orlando , im on the side of the road changing a tire with a huge nail in it. I missed a show that I paid for. Wth! Where is the customer service.. where is my Inconvenience fee . Where is my administration fee for changing the tire! . The car was not damaged..tire get flat all the times , but charged me with a new tire and $200.00 for administration fee is robbery .. crazy customer service..its not like we had the car all day . It was literally within a minutes. Stop trying to get over, do the right thing for the customer!

This is the 2nd time we've used SIXT, so we are a returning customer. The first time was a pleasant experience and the original quote was exactly matching the final invoice, with no hidden surprises. I cannot say the same for the 2nd experience. I got a quote online for a 3 day rental in Orlando picked up a MCO airport ($332). The in-person sales rep Nelmia straight off the bat tried to upsell us on an upgrade, and made it sound like it was free. It wasn't until we noticed that the final price was greater than our online quote, we had her back out the upgrade. We just wanted the BMW we reserved online, but she switched it to a Volvo (just because we casually mentioned it was the car we drove at home).. Again, we had to get her to revert the order to the BMW. She made further attempts to sell us a pre-paid ez-pass for tolls, but we declined, stating that we wouldn't be travelling anywhere far in Orlando. We declined all protection, but she managed to sneak in protection costing an additional $200, which masqueraded as a security deposit. It wasn't until we received our final invoice (after the trip) that we found out that the extra $200+ was the protection that Nelmia added (without our explicit permission). Why does it have to be this difficult ? Just give me the car I got quoted online, and don't be sneaky about it. She also had the nerve to ask for us to give her a five star review. After hours on chat trying to resolve the additional protection we didn't ask for, customer support said the best they could do is a 50% refund on the protection, leaving us to eat the remainder $100+. Won't be using SIXT ever again after this experience. I gave them 3 or 4 times to make me whole, but got the same 50% refund offer (even after escalating to 2nd level support).

I had a very disappointing experience with the representative at this location. The entire interaction felt dishonest and deliberately misleading. First, she aggressively tried to sell me SIXT’s toll pass. I explained that I had already rented an E-PASS toll tag from the airport. She told me that the E-PASS tag “would not work with SIXT vehicles,” which made absolutely no sense. A toll transponder is read by the toll system; it does not suddenly become incompatible simply because the vehicle is rented from SIXT. Then came the much bigger problem. She offered to “upgrade” my vehicle and presented it to me as a FREE upgrade. I said sure — why wouldn’t I accept a complimentary upgrade? She then quickly directed me through the signature screens without clearly showing or verbally disclosing that this supposedly “free” upgrade would cost me approximately $300 EXTRA. I had ALREADY RESERVED A BMW. Why would I voluntarily pay another $300 just to “upgrade” a BMW rental? If she had simply told me, “This upgrade costs an additional $300,” I would have immediately declined it. I only discovered the charge AFTER leaving the airport, when SIXT emailed me the rental receipt showing the additional ~$300 charge. That is what makes this experience so unacceptable. This was not a misunderstanding about whether I wanted an upgrade. I agreed to an upgrade because it was represented to me as complimentary. The additional cost was never clearly disclosed to me before I signed. Customers should not have to wonder whether something described as “free” at the rental counter will suddenly appear as a $300 charge after they drive away. SIXT should investigate the sales practices at this counter and refund this undisclosed upgrade charge. I strongly recommend that anyone renting here carefully photograph or review EVERY screen before signing and verify every single charge before leaving the counter. I will not rent from this location again.

TLDR: Sixt is a dishonest company at the core. Rent from Enterprise, Avis, and other mainstream companies and avoid the headaches. I have rented multiple times from Sixt without issue except little annoyances like incorrectly added tolls and penalties that take several emails to resolve which is par for the course with them. However, my last experience is appalling in its audacious attempt to defraud me. On July 21, I rented a Chevy Traverse for 24 hours. At the airport while picking up the vehicle, I encountered 2 men documenting scratches on the car. They hurriedly concluded their efforts understanding they were delaying my trip. I waited almost 20 minutes while they did that. The car was not cleaned so I had to wait while one of the men wiped down the multiple markings on the car's fenders. I drove the car to Lakeland, FL and parked for the night. Next day, I loaded up my family so we could all travel together back to the airport on July 22 for our trip to Europe. The car never parked anywhere except our unoccupied driveway in a gated community. No mention of damage was made when I returned the car. I inspected the areas that I knew had no damage and didn't think it necessary to add what was already documented when I picked up the car While I was in Europe, I got an email claiming I dented/scratched the car. This is the highest form of dishonesty I have ever encountered from a rental car company. I am not responsible for damages that were literally documented and handed to me with assurances that I was not responsible only to be told I was responsible to the tune of close to $2000 for a $100 rental. I went back to the Sixt desk at MCO airport on Aug 2 at 6:05pm to challenge the account of the damage, and the staff there DENIED the presence of anyone matching the description of the 2 men I encountered when I picked up the vehicle!!! I can assure you the dishonesty will not come to pass. Sixt is running a scam and I am not going to be a victim. If you Google "Sixt complaints", AI summary identifies bogus damage charges as the top complaint. This is their official business plan for increasing revenue. I drove 134 miles which is basically the journey to Lakeland and back with no stops anywhere except at home and back to the airport. I am done trying to negotiate with scammers and wont be calling them any more. If I do not hear from them with a resolution, I will be reporting this to my insurance as fraud and contacting FL consumer protection bureaus because this is a blatant scam they are running.
