I try not to leave negative reviews, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. But today is not that day.
I've owned MINIs since 2020 with fantastic service at MINI of Miami and MINI of Wesley Chapel, where I leased my Countryman SE in 2025 and purchased the tire protection package. This was my first visit to MINI of Orlando, and it was one of the first times in my life I felt treated based on my gender instead of as a person.
I came in for a slow tire leak, annual maintenance, and a charging issue, my car interrupts charging on my 240V home charger about three times per charge. My advisor Matt immediately blamed my cable, even though the same cable charges my husband's car with zero issues. Dismissed. They kept the car, never sent a single update, I only knew they were charging it from my own app, and OF COURSE it charged to 100% on their charger. That was the whole "diagnosis." First charge back home: interrupted at 20% and again at 80%. Completely unresolved.
On the tires, Matt told me, for the first time ever, that the package doesn't cover tires under 5mm, and that I should come in every 2,500 miles because "EVs eat tires." Both fronts "needed" replacement at ~$280 each plus an alignment that's not included. I paid $851.55 on top of the coverage I already pay for monthly.
Only later did I find the ONE inspection video I was never walked through. It's too shaky to follow and never shows the tread being measured. The report shows a NAIL, the cause of my leak, which is exactly what a tire protection package is FOR, yet I paid out of pocket. My driver front tire, which I paid to replace, has NO measurement recorded. And my rears measured 5mm and 4mm... and stayed on the car. So under 5mm means immediate replacement on the front, but a 4mm rear is fine to send me home on? Which is it? Meanwhile my husband's Mach-E, bought at the same time, same mileage, including 10,000 highway miles I put on it in one month, measures 8mm. But sure, "EVs eat tires."
The loaner was its own mess: offered only if I arrived by 5pm, told at 4:30 when I live 50 minutes away. No offer of MINI's pickup service. Monday, my calls went unanswered all day. When I arrived, another employee said the last loaner was just given out and he couldn't check if one was reserved for me. Matt eventually appeared with it, keys handed over, zero explanation.
I was mistreated, misinformed, and taken advantage of. I was considering buying my car at lease-end or leasing another MINI. Not here. I'll drive back to Wesley Chapel, where they once picked my car up from my HOME and left me a loaner, I will never return to MINI of Orlando.
