I was involved in an accident (rear ended) in a brand new car with 370 miles on the odometer. I went to Central Florida Paint & Body as they are Lexus certified. I have to say the experience with the staff there was exceptional. From the initial estimate with Chris to the weekly updates from Stephanie, I felt like my car was in good hands throughout the process. The finished product looks great and I would not hesitate to recommend them or bring future vehicles to them should I have another issue.

I began working with Central Florida Paint & Body on February 11 after my accident. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and throughout the entire process the team was consistently patient, professional, and very responsive. They were especially helpful early on with the rental process, even before I brought my vehicle in. After the insurance assessment, I was given an estimated completion date of March 23. Due to delays involving City Kia, my vehicle was not ready until March 30, which required me to extend my rental. To their credit, they stepped up and offered to cover the rental costs after March 27 due to the delays, which I genuinely appreciated. On March 27, I was informed that the owner was not satisfied with the paint job and chose to hold the vehicle to have it redone. While this added time, I respect that level of quality control and willingness to stand behind their work. When I picked up the vehicle, the body work looked great overall. However, I did notice a few issues: a strong paint smell, some detailing that could have been better, and new concerns with the repaired door—the window rattled while driving and the door required more force than normal to close. I also initially questioned the tire, but it was explained that it was not replaced because it was not damaged in the accident, which I understand. I also noticed that the battery had been replaced. I brought the car back on April 2, and they took my concerns seriously. They replaced the battery with a Kia OEM battery, properly detailed the vehicle, and significantly reduced the paint smell. They also attempted to fix the door so it would close more smoothly and to eliminate the window rattling, although those issues were not fully resolved. During that visit, they also kindly filled my gas tank at my request, which I appreciated. After getting the vehicle back, I noticed that on April 3 the front turn signal light stopped working, which had not been an issue prior to the repair. I brought the vehicle back in on April 7, and the light was fixed immediately, which I appreciated. Later that same day, I noticed another issue—the rear-seat climate control panel appears to be loose from the ceiling fabric, which may be the source of the rattling noise. Throughout the entire process, Stephanie, Raymond and Chris provided consistent updates every Tuesday and Thursday without me needing to follow up, which I really appreciated. Overall, while there were delays and a few remaining issues, the team showed strong communication, accountability, and a clear commitment to customer service. They made real efforts to make things right, and that goes a long way. For that reason, I’m giving them 5 stars and would recommend them for their professionalism and dedication to their customers.

Frequently Asked Questions About Central Florida Paint & Body

How long will my vehicle’s repair take?

Generally, repair time is calculated at the time of the estimate, based on the labor hours required to complete your vehicle’s repair. The estimated repair time will begin once we have received approval from the proper party and received all the parts necessary for your repair. Keep in mind there are other factors that may delay completion of the repairs, such as back ordered parts and dealer diagnostics. We understand the importance of having your vehicle back as quickly as possible, and we are committed to keeping you informed throughout the repair process.

Why do I need an estimate from the insurance company?

For accidents where a claim has been filed, the insurance company will typically want to have the damage assessed with one of their appraisers first. They will then send over their estimate to the shop. At that point, we will evaluate the vehicle and if additional damages are found, the insurance company will be contacted, and all repairs will stop until the insurance company has approved the additional damages in writing.
