After a nightmare experience of trying to get a rental car elsewhere, we stepped into MCO at 2:30 AM with our newborn, desperately needing a car. Jean was working there that night/morning and his kindness turned everything around for us. He helped us get a car that fit our needs and helped in all the ways he could, which is SO appreciated. His compassion for our situation made us feel like we were finally in good hands. Jean went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met so we could get our little one to bed after a very long day. His kindness and smile throughout our interaction are everything you could hope for in a customer facing position, especially at that hour.
I also saw him graciously help a few senior citizens who were very sadly also in the exact same unfortunate situation that we were in. He got them a car very very quickly which is all you can ask for.
Thanks, Jean!

this is the first review i’ve ever done and i think it’s well deserved, and here’s why. on friday my friends and i took a roadtrip to orlando after a REALLY long day at work. upon arrival all counters for alamo were busy for check in, and the lady on the Nationals counter named Ivette offered to assist us. yet she did anything but that, we were having
issues with the bank and credit card the reservation was under and asked for any sort of solution, use a different card, change the reservation to another friend. her answer to everything was No, not only was it No but it was RUDE, condescending and unhelpful without much of an explanation or solutions. i also over heard her speak with a coworker in english probably assuming we couldn’t understand she was saying unprofessional things about us and made it obvious she did NOT want to offer help. Near an HOUR of trying to contact the bank and getting no solution, at this point it was near 1 am and we were tired after a long day and a long drive, we just wanted to get to the hotel. i then tried speaking with an Alamo representative named Chrissy who was a sweetheart and the absolute BEST. she helped us and gave us a solution and in just a couple of minutes we were able to get our rental and get to our hotel to REST. immense grateful for her kindness and assistance 🫶🏻

Picked up the car from MCO, but had an awful experience when the car broke down on the following day. Tow truck arrived for the car within 30 minutes, but for us, the customer, promised UBERS never arrived at all. After waiting 2 hours, we called a taxi cab &, surprisingly, this arrived within 10 minutes!
It makes you think that, for Alamo, the car is far more important than the customer.
The Enterprise Branch that we were directed to for pick up of a replacement car were completely wooden, no empathy at all, & when questioned on the suitability of the replacement offered, they adopted a ‘take it or leave it’ attitude. As we had no other transport, we had to take the car, & the following day, we went to MCO to get something more suitable. Another wasted morning.
At MCO we received a completely different reception from everyone, but particularly Brooke, the Manager, who went out of her way to help us. Thank you, Brooke, you are a star!!
In conclusion, after a rough start, the third car we had was ok for the next 3 weeks & we had no additional problems.
Although the cab fare has been accepted by Alamo, we are still waiting for it to be reimbursed.

Alamo is the way to go! This was the easiest rental car company I have ever worked with. I was able rent the car online and go directly to my car upon arrival at the Orlando International Airport. NO NEED TO VISIT THE RENTAL COUNTER!!! THIS IS HUGE! In the past I have waited hours in line to pickup my car and had to haggle with agents that try to sell you options that you opted out of online No long waits in line!!! They sent me an email about a week before my pickup where I uploaded my driver's license, so that I could skip the rental counter. No extra membership required! I did have to download the App and upon arrival it prompted me that I could go directly to the garage to pick up a car. An Alamo attendant was easily found in the garage and after quickly showing her my confirmation in the app she directed me to a row of cars in my category for me to chose anyone. I will now always put Alamo first when choosing a rental car agency. Also, when we returned the car, we left a bag behind. After reporting it as lost online, they reached out within 24 hours, matched up the lost bag with us, and it was shipped 48 hours later.
We rented a car from Alamo at Orlando International Airport. I would've gone with 4.5 stars, but rounded up as nothing tragic happened. I liked Alamo's Skip the Counter program, but we ended up having to stop by the Alamo booth anyway because it was unclear to me what we had to do before taking off in a car.
It was fun being able to pick my own car, and the Mazda CX-50 we chose worked out great for us. Returning the car was easy (after navigating the seemingly endless drive through MCO). Only other issue was getting out of the garage once we had the car at the beginning. I must have missed the exit lane, and ended up motoring around the garage looking for a way out. When I found what I thought was the exit, an employee there said it was only for employees; when I circled around a second time, he flagged me down and said he'd been mistaken and that that was the proper exit. So no biggie, but we thought we'd be spending our time in Orlando in the garage for a couple of seconds.
Overall, I usually go with Alamo, as they have a solid routine going at every airport I've been through and I'm usually OTD in a short time.
