- TCTim ClevelandJun 13, 20261.0I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received at the Advance Auto Parts located at 5440 Clarcona Ocoee Road, Orlando, FL 32810. I came into the store about ten minutes ago because my vehicle’s battery was dead and I needed assistance. I spoke with the store manager, who I believe is named Simon. Instead of listening to my situation, he completely ignored what I was saying and immediately told me that I would have to purchase a new battery before they could even check the existing one. He also stated that if I chose not to buy a battery and turned my vehicle off, and it did not start back up, that would be my responsibility. After leaving the store, I called to confirm whether the person I spoke with was the store manager, and I was informed that he was. However, the sales associate I spoke with apologized for the experience and advised that what I had been told was not the correct company protocol. I find this level of customer service unacceptable. I came in looking for help and was treated with indifference and given inaccurate information. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it to others.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
