    I had a rock hit my windshield Monday. My insurance sent me to safelite to have the windshield repaired. The soonest they could come out was Thursday. 8-1. At 7:45am the technician calls me and says he will be here between 11-12. Ffwd to 1030am. The technician shows up early. They called me but I didn’t hear my phone go off as I was dealing with a meltdown by my autistic son. I called them back at 1120. They didn’t answer. I called the office and the lady on the phone was so rude. I said my appointment is technically scheduled until 1 pm. Since he didn’t do my car yet and moved on in the queue then he should be able to come back and do the service at 1pm. She told me the technicians are “overloaded” with appointments. It’s not making sense. So she asked me to reschedule and in shop is best I said how long does it take in shop? 2-3 hours. I said I can’t do that. I’m autistic and I’m unable to cope that long. So she says the next available mobile service is Tuesday. 8-1 and 1-6. I’m trying to see from my husband what time works best. And she went ahead and scheduled me 8-1 and told me if it doesn’t work for me I can log in and handle it myself and then hung up on me. I called progressive to see if I could use a different company because at this point I don’t appreciate how I’ve been treated from the broken appointment time to the woman on the phone being rude and both the technician and woman on the phone showing lack of basic customer service skills. Progressive said unfortunately they cannot send me to another company but they said their earliest appointment was actually for tomorrow, Friday. Imagine my surprise at hearing that when the woman on the phone not 10 minutes prior said not until Tuesday. So I scheduled for tomorrow. I’m not doing this with safelite again. So my recommendation? If you’re able, don’t use them. Especially the one in Orange Park. If I could I would be using a different company for my needs. They know I can’t, so that’s why I was treated like absolute garbage.

    Safelite of Orange Park, fl cracked the windshield during replacement so I had to return for another windshield a day or two later because another windshield was not available. Afterwards, Safelite had to come to my home twice for calibration issues and they forgot to connect the spraying hose. Now I have the same calibration issues as before (auto wipers don’t work) and Safelite won’t repair under warranty or for a cost. Everything was fine before they replaced the windshield. Unsatisfactory and I would not recommend anyone to use Safelite.

    Waited over 3 hrs even with an appointment, car brought out and told was good to go, drove down the street and it started raining.automatic wipers turned on and wiper blades were crossed and one flew off. Drove back to the shop. Tech came out replaced the wiper blade said it would be faster to replace then to try to figure out what was wrong , plus he had 3 cars he was working on and really didn’t have the time. I turned on the wipers and it continued to do the same thing as before. Went back in, tech came out and I explained again that the blades were crossing so he wanted me to show him. Then he said pop the hood, there’s the problem they weren’t tightened down. Is there not a check list of things to go through before putting cars in line to leave ??

    I would not recommend this store. They did absolutely nothing correct besides put on my windshield wipers. The windshield was not restored correctly, not sealed correctly and they even broke the glass on my roof in between my sunroof and my windshield. My car was picked up with dust and particles on the dash from where they did not clean up after themselves and my front seats were not vacuumed and floorboards were not vacuumed like it stated. No one went through any part of the process with me. I walked to book the appointment and the manager on duty, Heather told me just to get on my insurance app. Then Bryan did not do anything but sit down at the front desk knowing that there were four cars still needing help to be installed correctly. He did not even go through the checkout process with me the technician literally called out my car, handed me my keys and sent me on my way.

    This is long, but worth the read to hopefully avoid this happening to you. I have had the absolute worst experience here and unfortunately, it’s still ongoing! First off, they said I would need to come into the shop for the replacement because they need to calibrate it and they can only do it in the shop. Well I drop it off first thing in the morning and they end up not even finishing it, even though it was there all day until almost an hour after they closed. They say they will have to have a mobile tech come out and calibrate the windshield. Fine. The mobile tech comes out and he ends up not calibrating it, but REPLACING THE WINDSHIELD! Yes, the brand new windshield that did not need replacing. Says he can’t calibrate it, we need to come into the shop. Fine. This morning, I’m driving my car and water starts pouring out from the headliner onto the screen and dashboard of my car. Obviously they installed the windshield incorrectly. It’s not even raining!! It is nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone from the shop and when we finally did they 100% did not care and told us the earliest we could come in to fix it is Saturday. It is currently Tuesday. So now, I have water leaking out of the fabric liner and onto the electronics in my car. My car smells like mildew, and we are expecting rain every day until this weekend. The manager was supposed to contact us and still hasn’t. I regret coming here so badly and I would never ever recommend this location to any of my friends. Hopefully we hear from the manager/owner soon and can work on some sort of resolution.
