I was very interested in buying a car from Honda of South Miami, but my experience with Luis in finance made me walk away completely, regardless of what terms they could have offered. He told me he was “like a doctor but for car financing” and was there to “educate me on buying a car.” His tone felt condescending and unprofessional, not helpful or respectful. What concerned me most was how he responded when I asked what would happen to my personal and financial information if I did not move forward, and whether it would be properly disposed of. Instead of giving me a clear and professional answer, his response felt threatening and made me question how seriously this dealership protects customers’ private information. In my opinion, Luis should not be in a customer-facing position if this is how he speaks to customers, especially when they are asking reasonable questions about their personal information. No customer should ever feel threatened or uncomfortable when asking how their sensitive information will be handled. Buying a car requires trust. After that interaction, I no longer felt comfortable doing business with Honda of South Miami. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership.

Honda of South Miami advertises an "Instant Price" of $24,085 to get you in the door. By the time they hand you the actual deal sheet, you're looking at $30,479. That's over $6,000 in fees they don't mention upfront. They indicated the instaprice was an error. Let's assume it was an honest mistake but the rest if it seems dishonest. Here's where your money goes: — $1,298 "Documentation Fee" (industry standard is under $200) — $598 "Electronic Filing Fee" (this is a $50 task they're charging $598 for) — $189 PTA Fee (a private tag agency you never asked for and don't need) — $1,995 "Recommended PPP+" protection package That last one deserves special attention. They call it "recommended" on the worksheet, but it's not negotiable — it's simply added to your price whether you want it or not. Paint sealant and fabric protection that cost them pennies, billed to you at $1,995. This isn't aggressive sales. It's a deliberate strategy to advertise one number and collect another. The gap between their online price and the actual deal sheet is not an accident — it's the business model. Shop elsewhere. Get everything in writing before you walk in. Don't let them talk you into coming in because their tactics display their ethics.

I chose to buy a used 2022 Honda HR-V from Honda of South Miami. After telling the Sales Representative that I definitely did not want any add-ons to the car, I signed the left corner of multiple pages (they were folded back so I wouldn’t read them). The $1900. car became $ 38,000. when I received, via mail, the Wells Fargo loan information. The car had been in a bad accident and was a reposest car. The next day when i drove it, cockroaches were running everywhere throughout the car, even on me. This car is the inferior model, and had been sitting in a repo junkyard before they purchased it, repaired and painted it, and sold it as shiny new, with low mileage. Nothing at all was disclosed to me, and the CarFax report he handed me as we left, indicated the problems. I want this car returned to the dealer with full reimbursement for a $38,000. car. I was told this is a formula they use to, of course, make more money. Do not buy a used car from these Honda of South Miami reps. You're in for a negative surprise if you do.

Luis Garcia, Yorgen Garcia fueron I had an excellent experience at Honda from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, both sales associates were incredibly attentive, professional, and patient. They took the time to truly understand what I was looking for, explained all my options clearly, and never made me feel pressured. It’s clear they know what they’re doing and genuinely care about making sure customers leave satisfied. The financing process was just as smooth thanks to the finance manager, who was equally professional and transparent. He explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and helped me find the best option for my situation without any stress or surprises. Overall, the customer service was outstanding. They made me feel comfortable, valued, and confident in my decision. I would definitely recommend this Honda dealership to anyone looking for an easy, honest, and enjoyable car-buying experience.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Honda dealership, and I feel obligated to warn other customers to be very careful—especially when entering the finance office. When we purchased our vehicle, the dealership added extra products/services that we did NOT want. We requested to cancel them the same day we bought the car April 11, but they refused and kept delaying the process. Because of their intentional delay, we were forced to pay unnecessary interest on items we never agreed to keep. Later, we went back to the dealership in person to cancel these products. Even then, they made me wait for nearly TWO HOURS to get the cancellation processed, despite the fact that I was heavily pregnant and close to delivery. This level of disrespect and lack of basic customer care is unacceptable. Even after the products were finally canceled, the refund situation became even more frustrating. The loan bank had already paid the full amount to the dealership, but the dealership still refused to issue a refund check or return the money promptly. It feels like they were trying to keep the commission and benefit from the interest as long as possible. We also contacted the lender directly and discovered misleading information. The dealership implied that our loan had been rejected before, which is not true. We have never been rejected for a loan. This appears to be a tactic to pressure customers into accepting higher interest rates. Another confusing issue: we wanted to put more money down, but they discouraged us from doing so and pushed us to finance a larger amount instead—again, it seemed like they were prioritizing their own profit over what was best for the customer. Overall, the sales and finance process felt dishonest, manipulative, and extremely stressful. The dealership does not seem to care about customer trust, only about selling add-ons and maximizing loan profit. This experience has been very upsetting, and I will be filing a complaint with Honda Corporate. If you decide to buy from this dealership, please read everything carefully and be extremely cautious in the finance office.
