  I have been renting from the Enterprise location at 12394 SW 128th Street in Miami for nearly three years and am an Enterprise Gold member who rents frequently for business travel. Unfortunately, this branch has become the worst rental location I have ever dealt with. Constant staff turnover, long wait times, dirty vehicles, poor organization, and weak management have created a consistently frustrating customer experience. The biggest issue is the current manager, Rubert F. Alcantara. His lack of professionalism, customer service skills, and basic courtesy is shocking for someone in a leadership position. I continued using this location even though there are Enterprise branches much closer to my home because previous managers provided excellent service. Since their departure, however, the branch has steadily declined. Nearly every rental involves excessive delays, often an hour or more, despite having a reservation. There is frequently only one employee handling customers while others appear disengaged. The vehicles themselves are often unacceptable. I have received cars that were dirty inside and out, vehicles with nearly empty gas tanks, and even one that contained empty beer bottles left by a previous renter. My most recent experience was the final straw. My husband waited over an hour for a vehicle that had been reserved well in advance. When I arrived with my company credit card to complete the rental, I waited an additional 20 minutes. Despite knowing for more than an hour which vehicle we were renting, the branch did not even have it on site. Rubert told me the SUV would be brought out immediately, but instead left to retrieve it from another location. While waiting, I witnessed another customer loudly complaining that her vehicle was also not ready despite being promised over an hour earlier, confirming that these issues are not isolated incidents. When Rubert finally returned, I expressed my frustration and pointed out that he had misrepresented the situation by claiming the vehicle was ready. Rather than apologizing or attempting to resolve the issue, he responded, “If you’re complaining, I’m not renting the car to you,” then shut the door in my face and drove away. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from a manager in any customer-facing business. By then, it was after 6:30 PM and the Enterprise location closest to my home had already closed, leaving me without transportation for an important business trip the following morning. If you value your time, professionalism, and reliability, I strongly recommend avoiding this location and renting elsewhere.

  My experience with this car rental agency was extremely disappointing. After waiting more than an hour for an answer, the service received was unprofessional and inconsiderate towards the customer. The vehicle they sent to pick us up was in very bad condition, with a strong toxic smell inside that made the trip uncomfortable and worrying. We were traveling with two young girls and two older adults, so I consider that offering a car in those conditions demonstrates a lack of respect and responsibility for the safety and well-being of passengers. The most frustrating thing was knowing that there were other vehicles available, but apparently they were not offered because they were not convenient for the business. As a customer, I expected honesty, respect and quality service, something that unfortunately I did not receive. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience. I believe that they should significantly improve customer service, transparency and the condition of their vehicles.
