  I rented cars from both Alamo and Avis on our recent vacation to Key West and Ft Lauderdale, and Alamo was by far the better company. The service was better with Alamo. With Alamo I was given a choice of SUV's to pick from. And the over all rate was cheaper for the same amount of time. Return was simple and efficient. If given the option, I'll be renting from Alamo again.

  Processo inicial e final excelentes, mas o suporte em trânsito precisa melhorar. Recomendo a empresa pela qualidade dos carros e resolução no balcão, mas o atendimento telefônico em caso de imprevistos é bem complicado. * Pontos Positivos (Retirada e Conclusão): O sistema de reservas pelo aplicativo é facilitado e excelente. No Aeroporto de Miami, não houve necessidade de passar no balcão de atendimento: fomos direto para a retirada do veículo, sem burocracia. No final das contas, quando consegui atendimento presencial no aeroporto para resolver o meu problema, fui atendido com rapidez. Substituíram o veículo por um de categoria superior e ainda me restituíram a diária pelo transtorno. * Pontos Negativos (Suporte ao Cliente e Idioma): O suporte ao cliente em caso de sinistro deixou muito a desejar. O atendimento é feito apenas por ligação e os atendentes falam somente inglês e espanhol, o que dificulta muito para quem não domina esses idiomas. Embora eles forneçam um intérprete, a comunicação ainda é muito travada. Além disso, exigem um número de telefone americano para enviar as confirmações dos serviços. * O Transtorno com o Guincho/Substituição: Tive um problema com o carro e precisei solicitar a remoção e substituição do veículo com defeito. Ficaram de enviar um carro reserva, mas cancelaram o envio sem me avisar porque disseram que não conseguiram contato telefônico para confirmar se eu ainda precisava do serviço — isso após eu já estar aguardando por duas horas. Liguei novamente e prometeram enviar um Uber para me levar até a agência. Esperei por 30 minutos e o Uber não apareceu. Diante disso, pedi o endereço para ir por conta própria e me mandaram para uma agência da Enterprise (do mesmo grupo). Chegando lá, os funcionários informaram que não podiam fazer a troca porque não tinham acesso ao sistema da Alamo e me orientaram a ir ao aeroporto (onde, felizmente, tudo foi resolvido rapidamente). * Sugestão para a Empresa: Acredito que se houvesse um canal de atendimento por mensagem de texto (como o WhatsApp), facilitaria enormemente a comunicação para estrangeiros, permitindo o uso de tradutores e evitando desencontros de informações. No geral, os carros são ótimos e a empresa cumpre o que promete na retirada e na devolução, mas o sistema de assistência na estrada por telefone precisa ser modernizado urgentemente.

  I was a bit worried about using Alamo, simply because I hadn't used them before. I had a horrible experience with Budget Rent a Car. After paying for the car in full, they then charged another £100 to my card with no explanation. That said, Alamo were completely different. The man at the counter in Miami Airport was a bit rude, but you can't have everything! One thing I really liked was that you get to choose the car you want to drive from the category you've booked, boots open, keys in car - you literally help yourself. They also sent me a text with details of how to contact them if I had any issues. Most importantly, the drop-off was seamless. I drove the car up, was checked out in literally seconds, and the chap simply confirmed my email address—that was it. Crucially, I wasn't charged anything extra. I had my receipt before I even boarded my flight. I'll always check to see if Alamo is available when I book a rental car now. The service was excellent!

  Everything to do with our experience with Alamo can be described as nothing short of "fantastic". At every step of the process, from making initial reservations to returning the vehicle on the final day of our vacation, I was amazed at how simple Alamo had made the process. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, especially in an airport as huge as Miami International, but every bit of the process went flawlessly, to include the beautiful vehicle waiting for us at the terminal. And I have to mention that every Alamo employee we came in contact with was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thank you for helping make my family vacation something special.

  Update: A week after returning my rental car, I received an invoice from Alamo for toll road usage totaling $26. While I fully understand and accept responsibility for paying the tolls I incurred, I was surprised to see an additional $25 service fee added to the bill. A service charge that is nearly equal to the toll amount itself seems excessive and was never clearly disclosed to me at the time of rental. When I picked up the vehicle at MIA, the Alamo representative did not mention any toll processing fees or related charges. Greater transparency regarding these fees would have allowed me to make a more informed decision. Unfortunately, this experience has left me disappointed and feeling that the additional charge is unfair. Prospective customers should carefully review Alamo's toll policies before renting. I had a great experience renting a car from Alamo. Damien was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. Picking up the car was quick and easy, and the drop-off was just as smooth and hassle-free. The vehicle was brand new, clean, and exactly as expected. Excellent customer service and a seamless rental experience from start to finish. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend their service. Kudos to Damien.
