  I rented a vehicle from Alamo at Miami International Airport. While selecting the car, we decided to change to another model, and I accidentally left a suitcase inside the first vehicle. I realized it immediately and tried to contact Alamo as quickly as possible. I spent approximately 30 minutes calling and tried every available option in the automated menu, but I could not speak with a single person. Nobody answered, and there was no effective way to contact the airport location directly. I understand that leaving the suitcase was my mistake, but a rental company should have a reliable way for customers to receive assistance, especially when the incident has just happened and could potentially be resolved quickly. This experience also made me seriously question what would happen if the rental car broke down or if there were a real emergency. There appears to be very little concern for customers after the vehicle has been rented. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Alamo, and I would advise travelers to choose a company with accessible and dependable customer support.

  1 star. Disappointing post-rental experience. At the time of rental, I specifically declined Alamo’s TollPass/SunPass service because I have and use my own SunPass transponder. Despite this, after returning the vehicle I received a toll statement showing $8.62 in toll charges plus a $4.95 service charge associated with Alamo’s TollPass program. I previously contacted Alamo asking for clarification regarding an unexpected charge on my credit card, but I have not received a response. I would appreciate someone from Alamo reviewing my rental agreement and explaining why TollPass-related charges were applied when I expressly declined that service. I am happy to update this review if the matter is properly investigated and resolved.

  Absolute jokers!! The woman working on the exit booth at Miami airport on August 7th at around 9pm I think her name was Cay is probably the most rude and ignorant human being I have ever dealt with. She insisted my credit card was a pre paid card and refused to take payment. I explained for several minutes that it’s a legit credit card issued by a U.K bank account. She completely ignored me and proceeded to search Google. She finally took the payment by chip and pin for $1890 only to void the transaction!! The money had left my account but she refused to open the barrier and let us out of the parking lot. We called over a manager that had the nerve to ask me to pay again!! I told him where to go. Alamo left us with the choice of no car or pay again and await the refund from the original transaction. Absolutely disgusting. We had a 9 hour flight from the UK to Miami with our 4 kids and were going to be left stranded by Alamo due to their own incompetence. Fortunately another manager named Albert managed to get us on our way after paying an additional $700 and agreed we could pay the remainder once I had received my refund. He knew the woman in the booth had messed up badly so offered us an upgraded vehicle and escorted us out of the parking lot himself. The woman in the booth should face disciplinary action and be made to retrain as again she was the most rude person I have ever met. I have been using Alamo for 20 years but thanks to her will go elsewhere in future.

  Super expérience avec Alamo Miami Airport ! Le comptoir n'est pas dans l'aéroport, mais il se situe à seulement à 5min de celui-ci via un AirTrain super facile à trouver et qui vous dépose dans le grand batiment dédié à la location de voitures (tous les grands loueurs s'y trouvent). Et sincèrement, c'est bien mieux pour quitter l'aéroport et pour la restitution de la voiture. Le traitement administratif est rapide et le personnel courtois. Une fois les papiers remplis, rendez-vous dans l'immense garage Alamo, au niveau inférieur, afin de choisir librement votre véhicule parmi 6 marques et modèles différents correspondant à votre catégorie (voir de la catégorie du dessus !). Un vrai plus par rapport à d'autres loueurs, on a adoré le concept ! Nous avions réservés un Nissan X-trail (middle SUV selon les catégories US) et nous avons choisi un Mitsubishi Outlander full options (toit panoramique, sièges cuirs, clim tri-zone, aides à la conduite complètes, etc...). A la restitution, le processus est ultra rapide ! Pas besoin de revenir 2h avant votre arrivée à l'aéroport... Vous vous garez dans une file "dépose minute" et un agent Alamo arrive instantanément pour scanner votre voiture et faire le tour avec sa tablette. Vous n'êtes même pas encore sortie de la voiture qu'il vous informe "Everything is ok" et vous propose de signer la restitution et de cloturer votre location sans le moindre frais supplémentaire, ni la moindre discussion. Point important, Miami est blindé d'autoroutes à Péages, notamment en direction des Everglades et des Keys (même autour de l'aéroport). Le loueur ne propose pas de boitier de Péage (Tolls), comme les américains en utilisent. En revanche, en l'absence de boitier, la facturation des péages est directement transmise à Alamo, qui vous les refactures avec 4$ de frais supplémentaire par jour (peu importe le nombre de péages, les 4$ sont facturés à la journée d'utilisation, que vous prenez un ou plusieurs péages. Si pas de péage sur une ou plusieurs journées, pas de facturation sur les journées concernées). Donc pas besoin de stresser sur la route si vous prenez des tronçons avec péages, le prix reste honnête. Bref, super expérience, sans doute la mieux parmi nos nombreuses locations à l'étranger (Montréal, Marrakech, Gerona, Palma, etc...). PS : En matière de prix, d'accompagnement et de sérieux, nous sommes passés pour la deuxième fois par SUNNY CARS (intermédiaire). Eux aussi sont au top.

  Tuve una muy buena experiencia en la recepción para iniciar el alquiler, me atendió JOSÉ, todo un caballero explicando, cuando fui hacia el retiro de la unidad todo excelente, pero al llegar de regreso para entregar el automóvil, solicite asistencia ya que tengo un problema en mi rodilla y no puedo caminar mucho, para a que me acerquen a la terminal del aeropuerto, y rotundamente se negaron a hacerlo, me atendió el manager GUERBY, y lo único que me ofreció es que un colaborador me acercara en silla de ruedas hacia el tren que te lleva hacia el aeropuerto. Fue un desastre poder llegar al check in, esto hace que nunca mas tome una Renta de un automóvil en ALAMO, por eso mi calificación de 3 estrellas.
