I’m sophia, and i just wanted to come on here and say that i left this advance auto parts location feeling reassured, satisfied, and honestly in a better mood all because of Rebecca! I needed car covers and she gave me her opinion and even walked me outside with the item to compare the color of my seats to the covers. Immediately i can tell that she is passionate about her job, and loves to help customers. Her mood vibe immediately rubbed off onto me, and i really needed that. Considering my day was a little stressful, Rebecca’s bright and radiant energy was just what i needed to brighten my day up. When you guys go, please ask for her because i’m confident to say that she will help you with no hesitation, and treat you beyond the normal expectations of being treated. The other staff was also great too, there was a young man there but i forgot to ask his name. The staff clearly gets along, and you can tell they’re almost like family in there. Great experience overall!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
