My car battery died, and after finally getting a jump, I went to Advance Auto Parts because I was concerned the battery would die again. Francisco greeted me and immediately offered to help. Instead of trying to sell me a battery right away, he first checked my battery to confirm whether it actually needed to be replaced. He took the time to explain what he was doing and gave me the information I needed to make the right decision. Once the test showed that the battery was bad, I decided to purchase a new one, and Francisco installed it for me. He was patient, professional, and very kind throughout the entire process. I even tried to tip him afterward, and he politely declined, saying he was just happy to help. It is rare to come across someone who is not only professional but genuinely caring. Francisco made a stressful situation much easier, and I truly appreciate his help.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
