I then went into the store where there wasn’t a long line but there was about 2-3 people in front of me and one cashier. I said out loud to the cashier is anyone else working, where he proceeded to ignore me. About 5 minutes later a young lady came from the back slowly. He then had to pick my order. He didn’t move with any sense of urgency. It took me over 20 minutes just to pick up some spark plugs

- VVVickyFeb 16, 20261.0I visited AutoZone on Thursday, February 12, 2026, to purchase a battery for my key fob. I already had the old battery in my hand and simply asked the associate at the front desk if they sold replacement key batteries. Instead of just answering the question, she immediately responded that they do not open keys or install the batteries — which I did not ask her to do. As I was about to show her the battery I needed to replace, she walked away from the counter mid-conversation. The store was not busy at the time; there was only one other customer being helped. The interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Customer service and basic courtesy go a long way. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I chose to walk out and will not be revisiting this location.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
