  Huge thank you to Tracy and the staff who assisted us. After confirming the issue he found him and the manager worked diligently to get our warranty to cover the vehicle. While Tracy worked on my vehicle he was able to multitask in a calm and collected manner dealing with another customer and answering phone calls. He explained to us in a way our non car minds understood. There was a drink station in the waiting area that offered coffee and water and was clean. I would highly recommend this service center!

  If I could give zero stars, I would. I would NEVER bring another vehicle here. Please read this before trusting them with a major repair. I drove my car to Tuffy Mary Esther for an overheating issue. I ultimately paid them nearly $4,000 for an engine replacement. When I got the car back, it had serious drivability problems it did not have before, the original overheating issue returned, I had to have it towed back to Tuffy, and I was told I needed to spend another $2,000+ on a transmission. The worst part? I was able to drive my car into this shop, but after nearly $4,000 in repairs, I couldn’t drive it back off their lot. After almost two months of this ordeal, I finally had to pay to have my car towed away from Tuffy and am now looking at replacing the vehicle entirely. During those two months, I received conflicting explanations about the original diagnosis, what occurred during the repair, and why my vehicle was now experiencing additional problems. I repeatedly asked for supporting documentation and answers and spent weeks trying to speak with management or ownership - particularly regarding an incident during the repair that Tuffy itself acknowledged caused damage to my vehicle, for which they also charged me for despite them causing the damage. Given the timing and everything I have since learned, I strongly believe that incident also contributed to the transmission and replacement-engine issues that followed (yes, even the engine they had just replaced). Despite my repeated attempts to get answers, management completely ghosted me. My family ultimately had to use a public records request just to obtain ownership’s contact information because no one would connect me with anyone above the store level. I contacted the owner directly and still received no response. Nearly $4,000 paid. Another $2,000+ requested. Almost two months without my car. Drove it in, couldn’t drive it out, and ultimately had to tow it away. Their website says “Done Right. Period.” My experience could not have been further from that. Please get a second opinion before authorizing any major repair here. I desperately wish I had. P.S. - Jason, if you’re reading this, I’d still love an update on that “investigation” you told me was underway. It’s been about a month and a half, and I’m still waiting on the findings, or really any substantive response at all.

  I drive a Tesla there is no spare tire so when you’re cruising along at 55 miles an hour and the steering feels a little wonky that’s a new experience I pull over and I’ve been running on a flat tire for Lord knows how long and serendipitously I’m right in front of Tuffy except they’re closed so I park for the night pop up in the early morning. They don’t carry tires in stock, but I was able to grab them from another tire retailer and before the end of the day, my car was back up and running with two brand new front tires. I figure if I’m gonna change one I might as well change the other. These guys got it done delivered on time and I appreciate it.

  To Whom It May Concern: A recent incident that occurred between our elderly father, Gary Workman, and Tuffy Auto Services of Mary Esther warrants an investigation into their practices for potential fraud and elderly abuse. Our father took his vehicle in for repair after it broke down on a busy highway near Tuffy, which happened to be the closest place. They told him the problem was the fuel pump and replaced it, but his car broke down again upon first use following the repair. Hopeful that this was an installation issue, he took it back in to them to be inspected. Tuffy reported to him that he had further issues and quoted him $3,436.72 in additional work! Upon having his car towed to his long-time, trusted mechanic’s shop for a second opinion, it was confirmed that the fuel pump Tuffy had installed was broken. His regular mechanic installed a new fuel pump, and the car was repaired. Rather than check their work and acknowledge the error, Tuffy tried to charge a senior citizen an extra $3,436.72! Now that we are asking for a refund, they tell us we should have given them the opportunity to complete the warranty repair! We argue that they did have the opportunity to discover the need for a warranty repair and complete it when we took it in to let them know their repair did not work, but they failed to look for their error. Now we have demanded they return the money our father spent for the original repair, since he ended up having to get it done again several days later with a different mechanic. They have refused to respond and take responsibility. Not only do we recommend against anyone trusting this shop to work on their vehicles, but we are requesting that they be investigated for fraud and elderly abuse.   I had an alternator going out and had already purchased a replacement to have installed. I arrived with only about 15 minutes left before closing and expected I would have to leave my truck overnight and arrange for someone to pick me up. Instead, they went above and beyond and installed the alternator for me before closing. I really appreciated them taking the extra time to get me back on the road that evening.
