The purchase of our new G80 from the Jenkins dealership in Leesburg wasn’t flawless. After agreeing to the terms of the sale, the team started prepping the car for delivery: wash, refuel, vacuum, etc. These tasks took quite a while; we were there on a Sunday afternoon. After a couple of hours, our sales agent reported that the dealership could not locate the second key fob! At which point did anyone begin the search?
The terms of the deal included a reasonably sized down payment. The gentleman from finance provided a one-sheet page under Bank of America letterhead with wire instructions. I contacted the main office to verify the details; wire fraud is a real threat. The woman with whom I spoke wanted me to use a different account number and provided a different data sheet via email. The wire transfer was successful and woman from Jenkins confirmed receipt. A day or so later, the gentleman from the Leesburg office called to ask the status of the down payment. After I gave him the name of the person that confirmed receipt, he claimed that his accounting department hadn’t shared the information with him. Shouldn’t his first call have been to the accounting department rather than the customer?
Finally, I keep a freeze on my credit report. I wasn’t able to thaw the report in the dealer’s office. I thawed the reports once we returned home. I emailed the gentleman from finance to let him know the status. The following day (Monday), our sales agent called to ask about the credit thaw. I let them know that I had thawed the reports for the next four days and reported that to the finance point-of-contact. The response was, “oh, thank you. That person is off today. I’ll share this with the team.” Everyone deserves days off from work; however, should there be some sort of process that allows critical information to flow?

The staff is so accommodating and attentive, and I am not an easy person to please. So, cudos to the staff, customer care, and I love my new car. They even accommodated my crazy schedule and demands as I was able to drive my car right off the lot on the same day.

I had an appt. To trade my vehicle in and low and behold it just died two lights before I got there. I had it towed in and got to dealership 1 hr before closing. That didn't stop them. I test drove a GV 70 and looked at the GV 80 and bought one. The staff stayed until 11pm taking of me so I could drive it home. Thank you for being so kind. I love my GV80.

Overall experience was outstanding. The car sells itself. Staff was exceptional and the dealership is lovely. Had a great sales person in Angelik Perez. Helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Juan Martell the sales manager was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Never felt pressured.
