I choose SB largely because of their use of Valvoline oil. Once there the staff was great, the work was quick and efficient. I highly recommend using them. And their price was on par with the dealer.
First time customer. Grabbed a $10 off premium coupon online. Gave it a shot. Picked their most premium option, high mileage version since car has 100k+. Spent $138 w/ the new oil filter. From the time I pulled up I was out of there within 15min.
Sure, you could probably get the oil from costco and a cheap filter online and spend less than $50 in parts. But then you'll be outside sweating for 45 minutes and have to deal with the used oil. It's a fair price, and I was out of there within 15 min total. Don't have to leave the car. Only had engine off for a few minutes. Guys were real nice, checked other stuff, didn't try to upsell me on an air filter that was clean enough. Will be coming back.

All the sales pushing is very frustrating and annoying. I get my car serviced through the dealership, but I realized I was late on the oil change and on the road so I got it there. First he wanted to sell me something before saying that I needed to “clean like flush it before the oil goes in” Then he pushed for me to have something added to it for whatever reason that made no sense. I get the full synthetic best oil I can get every time . I get the vehicle serviced timely.. When I told him that he then told me my air filter needed to be changed. Maybe choose one product to push to each customer! I scheduled a visit with my dealership on Monday because I don’t have the confidence that they did a good job.

Wanna hear a story?
I took my car in for an oil change at Strickland Brothers in Lantana. It was time. I've been going here for a year and a half. No big deal.
After they told me I was finished, I left and my car stalled and shifted hard. I stopped and checked everything. All signs pointed to my transmission being empty and my car being over filled with oil. I went back and told them I think they messed up and drained my transmission and can they please check to make sure?
I feel I should explain that I have a sealed CVT transmission. I can't check the fluid easily, it's better to do it in a shop.
The tech that did the work on my car told me "Sir, I changed your oil, we don't do transmissions."
Me: "I'm aware, but my car isn't driving right, and if you at least check the oil you'll see I'm right. "
Him: I can't help you sir, we don't even carry transmission fluid.
Me: 👀... so you won't check my oil?
Him: I can't help you.
Me: 🫠 got it. I'll just take it to corporate.
I towed my car to the dealership and now it's declared a total loss.
Strickland has acknowledged they destroyed my car.
The repair is double what my car is worth (YAY SUBARU) and Strickland Brothers insurance decided my car isn't worth repairing and they will compensate based on my cars value. That's Florida law.
The incident happened May 24th 2026. I'm still waiting for them to decide what my car is worth.
TLDR, if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Don't use Strickland Brothers anywhere in the country.

Excellent experience! We were able to stay comfortably in the car during the entire oil change, which made the process incredibly convenient and fast. The technicians were professional, courteous, and had water ready to give us. There was no long wait, no pressure to purchase unnecessary services, and we were back on the road in no time. If you're looking for a quick, hassle-free oil change without ever leaving your vehicle, I highly recommend them!
