I had an amazing experience with Jay at Jenkins Nissan! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to help me get out of a bad car deal and into a brand new 2026 Nissan Sentra. He made what felt like a stressful situation so much easier by being honest, patient, and genuinely looking out for my best interests.

Our experience with Jenkins Nissan was extremely disappointing.
We brought our Nissan Altima in after it began sputtering, and it eventually stalled. We were told it needed a new alternator after they had done the diagnostic test to determine this, so we paid to have that repaired. We expected the problem to be fixed. We picked it up and immediately realized it was not fixed. We took it back that evening, and they said it was good.
Unfortunately, the car still isn’t running properly. We had to bring it back again a week later, and instead of resolving the original issue, we were charged another $460. We have now spent a substantial amount of money, and the problem still has not been corrected.
What made the experience even worse was how we were treated. The service representative was rude and made us feel like our concerns weren’t being taken seriously, as though we were making up the problems we were experiencing. Customers deserve to be listened to and treated with respect, especially when they’re dealing with an unreliable vehicle.
The timing couldn’t have been worse. Our son had to leave for an out-of-state move, and because the vehicle still isn’t fixed correctly, we’re genuinely worried about whether it will make the trip out west safely.
We trusted Jenkins Nissan to accurately diagnose and repair the problem, but instead we left with more charges, an unresolved issue, and very little confidence in the work that was performed. I hope management reviews our experience and makes this right so other customers don’t have to go through the same frustration.

Lakeland Nissan offers pretty good customer service. My service advisor, Jaypee, did his best to assist me and even threw in an oil change, which I appreciated.
However, I was surprised that my out-the-door total was nearly $800 for replacing four spark plugs and one ignition coil.
What I had a hard time understanding was the pricing of the parts. The ignition coil was listed at about $151 on Nissan’s website, but I was charged $252. Likewise, the spark plugs were listed at around $34 each, yet I was charged $64 per plug.
And notice I haven’t even mentioned the labor costs yet. Exactly.
At the end of the day, I needed my car repaired, so I went ahead with the service. I just wish the pricing had been more transparent and easier to understand.

Caught on the phone to get exact information about my battery in the warranty was told just bring it in make an appointment told me the proration I would have to pay for and so I made the appointment sat there for over two and a half hours then service writer came in and said what's wrong with your car and I was like I already told you I've already had it checked by two other places because I couldn't remember where I had gotten the battery from this last time and then when I looked it up it said that it came from Nissan and then I remembered I had brought my car in for warranty work which they would honor and the lady said has anybody checked your battery because I think that's the only thing they have a problem with probably has a dead cell. She was right I bought the battery in January of 23 it's an 84 month battery two other places had already told me that the battery is dead service writer stated Nissan has different warranties and because I had a little bit of a charge left even though the terminals were so corroded I cleaned them off just and I put it on the charger at night just so I could make it up there. Service stated they are not honoring the warranty they use a special machine and it requires you to have a zero cell two other established battery retailers that said it was dead and needed to be exchanged so I guess I'm supposed to be broke down on the side of the road with grandkids in the car heavy traffic and be stranded before Nissan will honor their warranty

I don’t write negative reviews often, but after everything that’s happened, I feel it’s important to share my experience.
My mom has purchased three vehicles through the Jenkins dealership group 2 from the Jenkins Nissan and 1 from Jenkins Mitsubishi because we believed loyalty mattered. We fully intended to continue purchasing from Jenkins for years to come.
In 2024, she purchased a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder through Jenkins. She had an excellent credit score and did not have a trade-in or negative equity from another vehicle. We believed we were making a financially responsible purchase and trusted the dealership to help us make a sound long-term decision.
It wasn’t until recently, after carefully reviewing our contract, that I realized how much the total amount financed had increased due to financed products and fees, including a service contract that significantly increased the amount financed. Today, we’re left with substantial negative equity on a vehicle that already had over 82,000 miles at the time of purchase.
I fully understand that we signed the paperwork, and I take responsibility for not understanding every detail at the time. However, I also believe a dealership should strive to put loyal customers into deals that are financially sustainable… especially when those customers have returned to the same dealership group for multiple vehicle purchases and have demonstrated strong creditworthiness.
When we reached out hoping Jenkins would help us find a reasonable path forward, everyone we spoke with was courteous and professional, and I sincerely appreciate the time they spent reviewing our situation. Unfortunately, no meaningful solution was offered that would allow us to continue doing business with the Jenkins dealership family. As disappointing as that is, we’ve made the difficult decision to take our future business elsewhere.
This review isn’t written out of anger. It’s written in hopes that it helps someone else avoid the same situation. Please don’t focus only on the monthly payment. Read every line of your contract, understand the total amount being financed, carefully review every optional product being added, and make sure the deal makes financial sense not only today, but years down the road.
I truly wish this review had a different ending. We wanted to remain loyal customers, but unfortunately, we no longer feel confident that our long-term financial interests are valued in the same way our repeat business has been.
