Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with a dealership service department. I dropped my Nissan Titan off at Jenkins Nissan on Saturday, August 15, for a noon appointment. The check-engine light had come on with a low-coolant warning. I also asked them to change the oil and oil filter, replace the air filter, check my right rear tire, and replace the inside door handle on my right rear door. I heard nothing from the dealership Saturday. When I called Sunday, I was told the truck had been looked at but wouldn't be finished, so I asked for a loaner. When we arrived, my truck was sitting in the exact same spot where I had left it. We were again told it had been looked at, but when we asked to speak with the mechanic, they eventually admitted that it had not been looked at yet. I told them I wasn't in a huge hurry because I would be out of town August 19–24. My wife later called and was told everything was done except for the rear inside door-handle part, which they said would take 5–7 days to come in. We heard absolutely nothing from the dealership while I was gone. When I called after returning, I was told they were still waiting for the part. Again, nobody had contacted us with an update. On Saturday, August 29 — exactly two weeks after I dropped the truck off — I texted them and was finally told the door-handle part was on back order but that my truck was ready. We went to pick it up August 30 and explained how disappointed we were with the communication. They apologized and said there had been a misunderstanding and they thought I had said I would be out of town for two weeks. I can understand a misunderstanding, but that still doesn't explain going more than two weeks without a single proactive phone call or text about my vehicle. Then I asked what they had found regarding the original check-engine/low-coolant issue. The inspection report I received didn't mention a problem with the coolant. The mechanic told me the coolant had been low and that he topped it off. When I questioned why the inspection report showed it as normal/OK, I was told it was because they had already filled it before completing the report. That makes very little sense to me. The low-coolant warning and check-engine light were major reasons I brought the truck in. If the coolant was low when it arrived, I would expect the inspection report to document that rather than show it as normal after it had already been topped off. At that point I just wanted to pay and get my truck back. Then I walked outside and discovered another surprise: they had replaced two tires. I was only charged for two, so there was no billing issue. The problem is that my truck had all-terrain tires, and without calling me or discussing it with me, they installed two highway tires. This is a 4-wheel-drive Titan that I use to pull a dump trailer and occasionally have to take off pavement. I would never have approved putting two mismatched highway tires on it had someone simply called and asked me. To their credit, they did give us $150 off for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. But unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the overall experience. The most frustrating part is that nearly all of this could have been avoided with basic communication. During the entire 15 days they had my truck, I never received a single phone call from Jenkins Nissan. Every update we received was because my wife or I contacted them first. By the time I discovered the mismatched tires, I was done. I didn't even want them to correct them. I just wanted my truck back and to leave. After this experience, I will not return to Jenkins Nissan of Lakeland for service, and I would never purchase a vehicle from this dealership.

Typical sketchy dealership. Reel you in with one price then bait and switch you with another price that is 25%higher than the listing online, due to "fees". Do your research if you are considering shopping here. Judging by other folks' reviews, it would seem that this is standard practice for them and not an experience unique to me. Ended up shopping elsewhere and had a much better experience without the deceptive business practices.
