  My car battery died close to autozone store. I didn’t have an issue with my car at anytime. When the battery died, I went to auto zone to replace it. Staff were nice and help me to install the battery before place.i drove home without any issue but while I’m driving the battery light came . I didn’t give it big deal and I thought it need time the battery to recognize. Anyhow , slept and woke up next day go to work and the signal still appear. After finish my work, car start acting up plus light engine, light battery, even break light start appearing then suddenly my car stopped totally. Luckily my car stopped next a mechanic store. After the mechanic check , he said there is an issue with alternator. I told him how possible because I didn’t have this issue before beside I change my battery yesterday. He looked at the battery and showing 3/2024. He said why they sold you 2 years old battery. Then he asked me before place the battery, did they check the alternator before and after place the battery? I told him no they didn’t. He helped install another battery and asked to bring the car to fix it after deal with auto zone. I went back to auto zone and the manager refund the battery money but he start give excuses that the damage happened from old battery. I told him that impossible happened because my car was running perfectly and no way alternator issue happened because of that . It’s happened after place new battery and I told him they failed to check the alternator before and after place the battery but more excuses been given. I tried to call the corporate but no one answer or return the call back . I love auto zone but after this experience, I start doubting. Auto zone responsible to cover the new battery and mechanic charge for inconvenience .
