  National rental definitely is better of the car rental companies out there. I have President circle and Executive membership both at Hertz and National respectively. Having traveled a lot Both are great companies but my experience with National at Jax was amazingly great. The return was easy and the staff at the return desk very nice. Definitely a pleasant experience overall.

  Rented a car through Expedia. Arrived at the desk and presented my debit card for the hold. The lady at the desk told me if I didn’t have a credit card, they wouldn’t rent to me and they wouldn’t give me a refund. Then literally said. “Sorry babe”. I asked to speak to a manager While I was waiting the original worker started speaking with another customer. The lady spoke with the customer for a few minutes then walked the customer AHEAD of me and told the manager to take care of her first. I’m in tears at this point. The manager says “oh this is a previous issue so she’s going to be taken care of before you” even though she came in line 10 minutes after me?? The manager says Expedia doesn’t explain that national doesn’t rent cars without a credit card and it’s not their problem. ( literal words). I had an Apple Card on my phone. - nope. I had a debit card. - nope. I had my kids with me and was stuck trying to find other transportation

  I am an executive elite member at National with over 125 days per year of rentals. The management at the JAX location are the worst I have experienced anywhere in the world. National customer service also fails after 8+ attempts over the phone and chat to resolve customer impacting issues. I have switched to Hertz. Recommend everyone else take similar action.
