My car was having issues with the AC, and since it was still under warranty, I made an appointment online and brought it in. My service advisor, Hattie, was friendly, prompt, and helpful. They diagnosed the issue, and let me know the scope of the repair, how long it would take, and that it would be covered under warranty. I was particularly happy about this last part because other dealers (of other makes) have been resistant to classify repairs as warranty repairs. But Hattie and the crew were honest, which I appreciate. The repair was completed, and they even cleaned my car before I picked it up. This was one of the best car repair experiences I've ever had. I would trust these folks even for non-warranty repairs.

The porter wrecked my car. I went in for an oil change a week ago, Monday. I finally had to contact the body shop to see where my car was because I’ve had zero communication with anyone at the dealership in the service department. Everyone’s either in a meeting all day, long or on the phone and cannot be courteous enough to return my call. I took my car in at 8:50 that Monday morning. I didn’t leave there until after 2 PM. I was told drive your own car. We don’t have a loaner. My husband told me to go back and let the dealership figure something out on a loaner because this was not my fault or my problem they needed to provide me a loaner car until they fixed mine. I will never buy a car from this place or take my car back to be repaired. I’m still waiting on my car finally 10 days later somebody has reached out to me. Horrible horrible horrible customer service.

We had a great experience working with Janisha. From the beginning, we were upfront about our approach: we’re in the initial discovery phase, comparing a few different models before narrowing down the exact vehicle, trim, and pricing we want. We weren’t looking to make an impulsive same-day purchase, and Janisha completely understood that. Despite the dealership clearly being busy, she took her time with us without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. She was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and incredibly down to earth. She answered our questions, gave us the information we needed, and allowed us to explore our options without turning the experience into an all-day process or trying to push us into a decision. That made a huge difference. We’ve purchased five vehicles in the past five years, and we simply prefer to do our research and make informed decisions. Janisha treated us like our business was valuable even though we weren’t buying that day—which, in our opinion, is exactly what good customer service should look like. Ultimately, we feel like we’ve identified the vehicle we want, and as we narrow down the trim and pricing, we will absolutely be going back to Janisha when we’re ready to purchase. If the rest of the buying experience is anything like the initial experience we had with her, this dealership has earned our business.

Take your business elsewhere or make sure you validate and compare offers from other details, before signing anything. The estimated numbers presented to me for a 3-year, 12k-mile lease were absurd: * Double the estimate on the manufacturer’s website. * 30% higher than the final lease agreement I was offered at a nearby dealership the next day. * Barely cheaper than the 72-month purchase offer they presented alongside it (which was what immediately raised a massive red flag). Both dealerships and Hyundai's website worked off an estimate of my credit score rather than a hard pull, so there was no valid reason for such a massive discrepancy. Whether this was gross incompetence or a deliberate attempt to take advantage of a customer, it was completely unacceptable. Shop around and double-check every figure before signing anything at this location. Good luck shopping!

I would strongly recommend thinking twice before purchasing a vehicle from Hyundai of Orange Park especially if you expect to have it serviced here afterward. I had a 1:00 PM appointment for my vehicle’s first scheduled maintenance — an oil change and tire rotation. Despite having an appointment, my vehicle was not even brought into the shop until approximately 2:35 PM, an hour and 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I finally got my vehicle back at approximately 3:25 PM — 2 hours and 25 minutes after my appointment — for an oil change and tire rotation. And that was after I specifically told them to skip the complimentary car wash because it would have added another 10 - 15 minutes. After observing how the vehicles were being washed, I was perfectly fine skipping that as well. What really stood out to me was the response when my vehicle was finally pulled up. I asked if I could check out, and I was asked, “Are you in a hurry?” At that point I had already been there for roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes, so I explained that my appointment had been at 1:00 PM. The response from the service advisor was essentially that my 1:00 appointment was an appointment “to see them” — not an appointment for my vehicle to actually be brought into the shop at that time. If that’s how Hyundai of Orange Park defines an appointment, then I’m honestly not sure what the point of making one is. I completely understand that service departments get busy and appointments can run behind. But there is a significant difference between running a little behind and having a customer with a scheduled appointment wait an hour and 35 minutes before their vehicle even enters the shop — especially for basic scheduled maintenance. What made it worse was having the delay explained as though this is simply what customers should expect because the appointment time doesn’t represent when they intend to service the vehicle. An appointment should mean something. If the service department is running significantly behind, tell the customers before they arrive. Had someone told me that my vehicle wouldn’t even be brought into the shop until around 2:35, I could have made an informed decision about whether I wanted to spend my afternoon sitting there or asked if I could bring it in around that new time. Instead, I spent nearly 2½ hours at the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation. I will absolutely be looking elsewhere for future routine maintenance. And based on my experiences with Hyundai of Orange Park, I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here to think about the ownership experience after the sale as well. You don’t just buy the vehicle — you’re potentially signing up for years of dealing with the dealership’s service department depending on packages you purchase with the vehicle.
