I did purchase a battery less than two years ago and it has a three-year warranty, so I was frustrated when it failed and the store’s initial testing showed it was fine. I contacted corporate and was told I could get it replaced. When I came in today, I realized the receipt I had given them was actually for the battery in my VAN, not my car. They couldn’t find the car battery purchase in their system either, so I was prepared to leave empty-handed. Instead, the store manager, Dax, looked at the date on the battery and decided to replace it for me anyway. He absolutely didn’t have to, and I really appreciate him taking care of me.

I can say that in general I have never had an issue with their parts or their customer service. I just recently, earlier today, needed to get a battery checked and ultimately replaced. Cheyenne was the lucky representative that got to help me today and she was fantastic. Properly diagnosed the bad battery and helped me find a replacement battery that actually fit. Not as easy as it sounds given that there were many options and we could not actually get to the battery to see it properly. Thank you for your help and friendly service.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
