- MCMarie CraftJun 6, 20261.0I dropped a battery off Wednesday to be charged an came to pick it up after work Saturday the lady that work in there with the plaits an sides cut short is who took the battery in the first place then when I come to pick it up she don't kno where its at they lost my battery then when she finally found it she never even charged it to begin with had us waiting at least 15 mins at the counter before she even came up front to greet us the other guy that works there was outside sitting on curb doing nthn she tried so many ways to get outta finding my battery an fixing the situation an I an several customers walked out an immediately drove down to Auto zone where they actually have a sticker print out when u drop off batteries I would not recommend Main st. location to anyone they are lazy an terrible customer service an do not do they jobs correctly at all im pissed huge waste of time an my day

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
