The store is cool but we have nearly stopped going in as every time they always have an employee pushing their credit card. I get it that they likely are instructed to do so but instead of shopping there we'll pay the same or more to support the local tackle shops just to not deal with the awkward interaction if nothing less.

This is a review of the Marina's Guides. The store and marina personal are great but I really am so disappointed in the 4 guides. First I call and leave a message with 2 different guides looking for 5 days of fishing in June or July and neither one of them call me back. I charter another older gentleman to go to Flamingo but as I find out later he takes me around to the gulf and thru a torrential rain storm and water spout because he is not sure of how to go the north way. Next I charter an another guide to fish Flamingo and after arriving and fishing with artificial jerk baits and no luck I tell he let me try a shrimp. He said I don't have any because they are hard to get. I ask the gentleman at the counter the next morning if they have any shrimp and he said they have a pen filled with shrimp. When I tell him what happened he was embarrassed and said that guide is as cheap as they come. Lesson learned, go with a pro at Bud and Mary's or the Lorelei and fish with a professional. When you spend over a thousand with a tip you should get a professional, I'm sure if John Morris knew what kind of guides he was letting into his marina he would improve it. Sad
