My wife and I rented a van at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Miami on Saturday evening July 11th, 2026. Delivered to FBO. It was a one-way trip from Miami to Bentonville, Ar. We arrived approx.8:30 pm to pick up the van. We then left to get on the turnpike North. Shortly after entering the turnpike, we had a flat that went down very quickly. Looked and found no spare tire. Called roadside assistance because we had the insurance from Enterprise. On a reportedly recorded call they said they wouldn't come on the turnpike. They weren't allowed and for us to call 911. We did and got sheriff's call center. They informed us that Enterprise could come on the turnpike. To call them back. We did and got the same response. We did this a couple of times and called sheriff's office again. They were surprised they wouldn't come. Contacted a road ranger for the turnpike to come out to help. He arrived and said he couldn't do anything because Enterprise doesn't put spare tires in the newer vehicles like this. We were stranded after midnight at this point. Called 911 (sheriff) again for help. It was after midnight at this point. The deputy called Enterprise with us on a 3-way call. After expressing disbelief they wouldn't come, the deputy asked what prevented them from coming. That there was no law. They then responded it was a business policy. At that point the deputy found us a tow truck that would come tow us to the Travel Center between the turnpike roads. $288 later we were stuck in a Travel Center parking lot with a flat with a large hole in it. At 3 am we ate Travel Center chips and snacks for dinner. We then took baths in the bathrooms with a washrag in the sinks. Tried to sleep but couldn't. Called numerous mobile tire repair businesses with only one calling back and coming to put on a new tire at 10 am Sunday. $350 later we resumed our trip. Arrived a day late to Bentonville and returned the car at the airport. The gentlemen that checked the car back in listened to us and was very apologetic. Said he had a similar experience with his own company out in Utah. He credited $613 towards our rental for the experience. We then phoned the call center with them apologizing and assured us someone would return our call that day. Nothing. We called a few more times with the same assurance. Called corporate with that same assurance. Nothing again. I filed a complaint with BBB in late July and got a call from a person from the Miami office where we rented the car. He stated he just got back from vacation. After listening to my complaint and insisting on a response as to why they left us out there without even checking on us all night and until this day, he said He would pass it up the chain. End of August a different person from that office called me stating they finally called me because they just got the initial report to give me a call from the call center. Not the BBB Complaint. He then stated they didn't know roadside assistance wouldn't go on the turnpike. I found this hard to believe. Being surprised at his responses, I asked to speak to his supervisor or even a corporate employee to explain why this all happened. He said that "she" at corporate wouldn't call me. After a while he gave me a name and number of a supervisor and said it would be better if he called me back that afternoon or the following Monday. That it was hard to get him. Still nothing. It is now Wednesday and I've called and left him a couple messages with no response. Up until this moment I haven't received an acceptable response as to why they left us out there, experiencing one of the worst things in our lives. To make it worse, my wife was the only one on the calls with them and they didn't know I was there. We are in our early 60's and can't possibly accept customer service has fallen this far. They claim to record the calls, but when I told them to listen to verify this horrific treatment, they said they didn't have them. I will continue to post wherever I can about this company and will speak with whomever will listen to my story. Unbelievable but true. Billy T.

⭐ Very disappointing experience – unexpected additional charges after returning the car
Unfortunately, after our experience, I cannot recommend this Enterprise location in Hialeah.
We rented a vehicle here twice during our stay in Florida and already paid a considerable amount for the rentals, including additional insurance/Damage Waiver coverage.
What disappointed me the most was the situation regarding toll roads. We specifically asked the employee at the counter whether we could use toll roads and whether there would be any additional costs. Based on the information we were given, we understood that we could use them without having to worry about unexpected additional charges.
After returning the vehicles, however, we received additional TollPass charges:
$60.50 for the first rental and another $18.18 for the second rental – a total of $78.68 in additional charges.
Only after receiving the detailed statements did we realize that, in addition to the actual tolls, we had also been charged significant TollPass convenience/service fees. The service fees alone totaled $44.55.
When I contacted Enterprise to complain, I was told that the employee “may have misunderstood” our question and that the information about the fees was included in the rental agreement.
For me, that is not good enough. If a customer specifically asks about additional costs, the employee should clearly explain them before the customer leaves with the vehicle – especially when there is an additional $4.95 service fee per 24-hour toll usage day.
After complaining, Enterprise offered, as a “one-time courtesy,” to refund only 50% of the service fee for ONE of the two rental agreements.
I had actually planned to rent from this location again on my next trip to Florida, but after this experience I will definitely look elsewhere.
My advice to other travelers: Compare prices with rental locations at Miami International Airport as well. The airport is only about 15 minutes from Hialeah depending on traffic, and we found much cheaper rental options there. Also, ask for a clear explanation of TollPass, insurance and ALL possible additional fees before signing anything.
The most frustrating part is that some of these charges only appear on your credit card after you have already returned the vehicle.
Very disappointing. Clear and transparent information at the time of rental could have prevented this entire situation.

The best place to rent from. Hats off to everyone that works there, especially Ana, very professional; her and Rudy. They really do need a raise. Was there when an out of towner was there to pick up their rental, and the woman just complained and complained about everything; even her husband couldn't calm her down. Just embarrassed the husband and daughter, what do you expect in a place of buisness that's short staffed...??? Those agents did there best to get you in and out as fast as possible, and they deserve a raise. Some people are just rude, and obnoxious and theirs no pleasing them. A++ for Ana and her team, I'll be back time and time again... Thanks Enterprise, you got my buisness; and I will be telling Family & Friends to check you guys out first before going any place else...
