  Had a great experience at this location earlier this week and wanted to give a shoutout to Alex Allak. I was in a tough spot trying to get a vehicle at a time when the selection was limited and Alex really took the time to help me out. He was prompt and professional and managed to turnaround an incoming rental for me within minutes. Excellent customer service.

  One of the rare car rental locations that still treat each customer with care and respect. Fadi is an amazing assistant branch manager, and I see him getting promoted very soon! He went the extra mile to ensure that I was taken care of and worked with any changes I needed done. Awesome experience. Other branches have a lot to learn

  When we got here they had no cars for anyone, even people with reservations. Fortunately we had upgraded and got one but everyone else was taking an uber. The vehicle was fine that we got, customer service was okay. Business plan, poorly executed.

  I travel for work across the country and spend more time in rental cars than I do my own—so this isn’t coming from a casual customer. Out of every location I deal with, Gainesville Airport is hands down the worst. I’m a loyal Executive Elite National customer and in that location every single week. I do frequent one-way rentals and go out of my way to help their inventory flow—regularly telling them to give me whatever they need to move. I bring back some of the newest, nicest vehicles from JAX, TPA, MCO, and MIA. It’s a mutually beneficial system…or at least it should be. The problem? There is zero reciprocity, zero recognition, and frankly, zero effort. When I need a vehicle for a 9-day work rotation and ask for the same basic courtesy in return, it’s like I’m asking for a personal favor instead of engaging in a professional relationship I’ve consistently contributed to. The manager, Maggie, and one particular employee couldn’t seem to care less. There’s no acknowledgment of loyalty, no sense of urgency, and no customer service standard to speak of. Even more frustrating—every interaction with this employee feels like the first time we’ve ever met. Completely robotic. No awareness, no continuity, no effort to build any kind of rapport with someone who is literally in their office weekly. At this point, it’s just disappointing. When a frequent, flexible, and cooperative customer is treated like an inconvenience, it speaks volumes about the leadership and culture of that location. Gainesville National: if this is the standard, you’re not just falling short—you’re actively driving away the exact customers you should be prioritizing.
