I cannot recommend Heather Bennett and Gainesville Honda enough. I helped out a young adult that was purchasing her first car and Heather was exceptional through the whole process. We had talked to many different dealerships, and despite being a few hours away from the buyer, Heather made it worth it in every way! She was super patient, helpful, and honest. I recently took my car to this Honda service center in Gainesville for basic, routine maintenance. My car was running perfectly fine beforehand, but unfortunately, I've noticed a very troubling pattern with this specific location: whenever I bring my car in for regular checkups, it somehow ends up with new issues.
During this latest visit, I handed over my keys and sat in the waiting room. About 45 minutes later, a service advisor came out and told me my car wouldn't start and that I needed a new battery. This made no sense, as I had experienced absolutely zero battery issues prior to pulling into their lot. I declined the replacement, but suspiciously, the very next day while I was away from home, my battery completely died.
To make matters worse, their service claims are incredibly inconsistent. On a previous visit, I asked if they could clean my headlights, and they explicitly told me they didn't offer that service. Yet, during this recent trip, they suddenly told me my headlights needed work and offered to fix them.
Between the mysterious new car problems that appear after simple maintenance and the completely inconsistent service recommendations, it feels like they are just trying to overcharge customers for unnecessary work. I no longer trust their inspections, and their business practices feel highly questionable. I would strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere.
Had a 10/10 experience buying a new 2027 Honda HR-V. Special shoutout to Mike who was incredibly attentive, helped us determine the best deal possible for our needs, and made our entire experience incredibly smooth sailing. Would recommend this dealership for anyone looking into purchasing a new vehicle!
