I’ve been a regular between this and the tower road location for 3 years, the audacity of these employees is truly remarkable.
Went for a simple oil change and alignment;
firstly they claimed to not have record of my 3 year free alignment package, thankfully I saved the paperwork. A further attempt was made to refuse my alignment claiming that I first needed to replace all four of my tires. They claimed I have an active oil leak and yet I’ve not seen a single drop of oil. I never requested a full point inspection to begin with, nor was I asked for permission.
Old man “Freddie” was extremely predatory and seemed to take me for a fool, all while knowing I’ve been a regular with this company. I was told the old manager of the tower road location (Josh) worked here, he is the only genuine employee I have come in contact with and I was unaware he is no longer with the company.
Overall a disgraceful experience, I am truly shocked at the boldness of these sales tactics. I can only imagine what the experience is for those who come through these doors unaware. Will be using a personal mechanic from this point forward. Avoid all Gainesville locations as they are ran in a similar manner.

Prompt service with a good attitude. Flexible scheduling too, including Saturdays. Went in for new tires, balancing, and alignment. The tech made a mistake with balancing, which we noticed as soon as we got on the highway. Of course it was inconvenient to have to go back, but they found their mistake, owned up to it, and made the needed corrections. Most places would have made excuses, or worse lied about it. Trust and competence are everything. Our car has been fine since. Will definitely go back

I decided to try Goodyear on Main Street in Gainesville for a simple oil change, what a mistake! The guy at the counter was extremely slow and couldn’t hear anything I said. I had to write my phone number down because he couldn’t hear me. The rest of the time I had to shout and repeat things for him to hear me. I feel for the man but he needs a hearing aid. There was only one other car there for service when I got there and 3 men working there and it took them over an hour to change my oil. They took the oil out and just left my car there. All they had to do was put the oil back in there and check whatever they usually check and let me go. They were just standing there looking at parts in a box for the other car. It didn’t look like parts for under the hood so I don’t know what it was. Why all 3 of them had to just stand there and talk for an hour I don’t know. No other customers came there while I was there, not one! No wonder nobody comes here! I don’t know how they stay in business!

This was the worst experience with a tire shop I’ve ever had. Every time I spoke with someone the price changed and when I pointed it out they magically were able to do the original price. Then while i was waiting I heard them tell someone else an alignment is on sale for $99 when mine was $140 an hour earlier. I was told an hour and sat in the shop for over two and a half hours, only to be told that a tie rod was seized and they couldn’t fully adjust it. Seized means something can’t be moved, either it is seized or it isn’t and if you can adjust it it’s not seized. I got home and looked at my paperwork and they never gave me the results of the alignment either, which I’ve received every other time I’ve had one done. They also told me my back brakes were “paper thin” and needed to be replaced immediately, but as you can see in my picture there’s plenty of pad left. Just another attempt to scam me. After being ripped off on the price and having them tell me they couldn’t even do the work properly I will never be using this or any Goodyear store again.
Edit: I reached out to customer service the day this happened, they gave me a claim number and never got back to me. Goodyear obviously does not care about their customers on any level, do not waste your money here. I’m going to have to take my car to another shop to have the alignment fixed and figure out what the new rattling noise this shop caused is.
Apparently the new rattle in my car that appeared after they worked on it was an adjustable wrench zip tied to a coil spring. Maybe an attempt to get me to bring it back in so they could scam me out of more money?
