Super easy experience! Windshield replacement was handled very well with Alex, who was clearly an experienced installer. Safelite used my factory oem glass and did a fantastic job. They even vacuumed the car when they were done. Outstanding!
Safelite immediately gave me a friendly human, made an appointment for the next day. Very comfortable waiting room, friendly service. Replaced my windshield and recalibrated Eyesight on my Subaru outback. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend.
Just wish they had a building in Crestview.
The Middle Aged/ elderly lady that works the front desk extremely rude, when asked for a printed Or emailed receipt indicating that my transaction was paid in cash. I was only provided an invoice Stating that I owed money when I had paid in cash. After the young blonde lady telling me that they could print me out a statement upon arrival to pick up the vehicle, instead I was met with rude attitude from the older lady that works at the front desk. Instead of printing me out a receipt, after I politely asked three different times or even typing in the system and sending an email receipt that indicated that I paid cash for my deductible, I needed for my insurance company. the elder lady At the front desk was very rude demanding oh what that piece of paper that we just gave you, I replied that this was the work order. This was not a receipt she then ripped the work order out of my hand and wrote in pin that was paid And dated it, Threw it back at me and said here you go. Would not recommend, I’ll never go there again.

During my windshield replacement, both windshield wiper blades were snapped off, no longer stay attached to my car when I operate the wipers, and Safelite refuses to replace them.
Jesse, the store manager, explained to me that the cap that "locks the wiper arm" on was missing. And that once the wiper arm is removed and reinstalled, without this cap to lock it in place the wiper will no longer stay attached--that explains why my wipers worked fine before the repair and are now broken. I took this explanation to a 3rd party mechanic who said that this is entirely untrue, the cap is just cosmetic, and that both bolts had been completely snapped off during removal so the wipers will not stay on anymore.
When I passed this information back on to Jesse I was told that they simply refuse to fix the wipers. In my opinion, this is poor business practice and I would take my business elsewhere to someone who will stay true to their warranty agreement.

I would strongly recommend avoiding Safelite in Fort Walton Beach.
I had an 8:00 AM appointment scheduled today to have the windshield replaced on my Tesla. I showed up on time, only to be told that my appointment had been canceled and that they did not even have my replacement windshield.
What makes this especially frustrating is how the cancellation was handled. Two days ago, Safelite called me around 11:00 AM. My phone’s call-screening feature identified it as a confirmation call from Safelite, but they left absolutely no voicemail and provided no indication that my appointment was in jeopardy. Apparently, because I did not return that call within roughly 30 minutes, someone canceled my appointment. I was never notified by voicemail, text, email, or any other method that the appointment had been canceled.
So instead of being given reasonable notice, I found out after taking the time to drive to the store for an 8:00 AM appointment.
The most disappointing part of the entire experience was the way the manager, Jessie Mathews, handled the situation. He was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. There was no genuine apology, no sense of urgency, and seemingly no concern whatsoever that Safelite had wasted my time because of their own communication failure. His response was essentially, “Oh well, I don’t know who canceled it, we don’t have the windshield, and you can reschedule for next week.”
That is an unacceptable way to treat a customer, especially when the problem was created entirely on Safelite’s end.
Mistakes happen. What separates a good business from a bad one is how management responds when they happen. Based on my experience today, customer service and accountability are clearly not priorities at this location. A manager should be trying to resolve problems, take ownership, and de-escalate frustrated customers — not act inconvenienced that a customer expects the appointment they scheduled to actually exist.
I am extremely disappointed with Safelite Fort Walton Beach and especially with the lack of professionalism shown by its management. After this experience, I have very little confidence in trusting this location with my Tesla or my business in the future.
One star only because zero stars is not an option.
