When I went to exchange it not only did the manager Alex assume I switched the part but said he couldn’t help me and sent me to the store that gave me the wrong part. That store said he called for me to return only to say that they wouldn’t exchange it. Waisted my time. Stole my money and refused to help. Do not visit this store under his management US1 and Gardenia Ave. Crooks.

I’m pretty sure I have gotten it from Advanced Auto in the past at other locations. Left me high and dry while my car needed repair. Had to walk to another parts store instead.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
