  Dishonest sales tactics. Called ahead of time to see if we could look at a specific trailer and were told that we could. Arrived, receptionist knew exactly who we were and which unit we wanted to look at. We were then told that we couldn’t look at that trailer because it sold yesterday, but they could show us a different one. Drove 1.5 hours round trip with a toddler. Clearly just wanted us to come in hoping to sell us a different trailer, knowing that the one we were interested in wasn’t available. Should have been honest from the start and we would have been happy to work them, but now we won’t.

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ We purchased our brand new Alliance Valor from General RV Fort Myers on April 15, 2026, and it’s disappointing to be writing this review because our experience started out so positively. The sales team was great to work with, and delivery day was exciting. We were thrilled to be picking up our new RV and felt confident that any items identified during the walkthrough would be taken care of. During delivery, we created a list of issues that needed attention, and we were assured that the necessary parts would be ordered and shipped to the General RV West Palm Beach location closer to our home for installation. Unfortunately, once we had service needs, things quickly went downhill. More than 70 days after taking delivery of our brand new RV, many of the issues identified during delivery remain unresolved. We later learned that parts that were supposed to have been ordered were never ordered at all. Somewhere along the way, the ball was dropped, and instead of proactively resolving the issues, we’ve spent months following up, chasing updates, and trying to determine what was actually done. One particularly frustrating example involves an interior wall panel that was separating. Rather than properly correcting the issue, the repair consisted of adding nails and covering the holes with putty. The repair was noticeable and didn’t look great, and now the entire panel is separating again and looks even worse than before. When you purchase a brand new RV, you expect the dealership to stand behind the product and follow through on the commitments made during delivery. Instead, we’ve spent the first few months of ownership dealing with unresolved issues, missed follow-ups, and poor communication. The most disappointing part is that much of this frustration could have been avoided if the parts had simply been ordered as promised and the process had been managed properly. We were incredibly excited to start our RV adventures, but that excitement has been overshadowed by an ongoing service experience that has fallen far short of expectations.

  This rating is for the service center mainly, however the staff on the sales side were friendly too. We had a safety recall done on our Winnebago Class A. One of the service managers, "Lance" was very attentive to the situation and arranged the parts flow and service. He kept us informed the whole time and they did this one while we waited.

  If you’re in the market for a new (or used) rv, general rv in fort myers is the place to go! Charles Vaught will show you everything you want to see until your mind is completely made up. He is the nicest most helpful salesperson we’ve ever dealt with! He even gave us a home warming plant gift. Would recommend 20 out of 10 times! Jason smith, the finance guy is not only super personable but will get you the best deal possible. Everything about this experience was top notch. From the front desk to the service team, this group made us feel like real VIP’s through the entire process! The second we upgrade we will not hesitate to return to this spot… but only if Scott does the walk through because he is thorough & makes sure everything is explained completely! Loved our experience, loved the entire team… let’s go glamping!!! 😊😊

  We purchased a new Winnebago...salesman was very helpful. However, when we spoke to the finance people (2 of the whom are no longer with this dealership) we were pressured in to purchasing extra coverage..it was not discussed with us...but they said it was. When we paid off our loan...in 6 months... we are trying to cancel the 'extra' insurance. It is taking weeks! To the tune of approximately $16,000. The gentleman we first contacted said it would be handled 'quickly.' We had heard nothing. He is no longer with the company as well. We are frustrated to say the least. We are now working with Jason Smith. We believe we already signed the appropriate papers weeks ago. Hopefully this will be handled quickly. Mike and Judie Doyle
