  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent service from Adam! Adam at the front desk made the whole rental process smooth and easy. He was incredibly helpful, offering me an upgrade and letting me know I should get a SunPass if I didn't purchase the toll pass. I really appreciated the heads-up and knowing exactly what to expect. With the rain coming down so hard, he even offered me an umbrella, which was a thoughtful touch. All around great service. Thank you, Adam!

  Failed SUV Upgrade, Foul Vehicle, and Unfair Billing: The Worst Car Rental Ever. Incident Background & Downgrade On July 7, 2026, I picked up a prepaid car rental from Sixt Rent a Car. I had originally reserved and paid for an SUV. Upon arrival, Sixt employees informed me that no SUVs were available. Instead of providing a comparable vehicle, they assigned me a Hyundai Elantra. The interior smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. When I asked to cancel or receive a refund due to the improper vehicle assignment, staff refused and stated I would lose my prepaid funds if I did not accept the car. Damage Incident & Discovery of Pre-Existing Damage On July 10, 2026, the vehicle was parked in front of my hotel when a neighboring driver accidentally struck the passenger-side mirror. Upon examining the broken mirror, it was immediately evident that the unit had suffered prior structural damage and had been heavily glued back together instead of being properly replaced. I immediately attempted to file a police report, but local law enforcement declined to dispatch an officer to the scene for minor parking lot property damage. I then contacted Sixt customer service, and the representative instructed me to return the vehicle to the airport location to exchange it. Vehicle Exchange & Staff Representation I returned the Hyundai Elantra to the airport location on July 10. I spoke directly with Sixt employee Mr. Geralvin and detailed the entire incident. I pointed out the excessive adhesive residue on the mirror assembly, showing that it was pre-damaged and glued together prior to my rental period. Mr. Geralvin visually inspected the mirror, confirmed the pre-existing adhesive repair, and stated that I should not worry about the issue because it was clearly pre-existing and he would handle it on the system. Unjustified Claim On August 13, 2026, Sixt sent me a invoice demanding $676.20 for the passenger-side mirror damage. Charging a customer $676.20 to replace a component that was already broken and improperly repaired prior to the rental period is unfair and deceptive. I have clear photographic evidence demonstrating the pre-existing adhesive on the mirror housing.

  I had a great experience with SIXT, and I especially want to recognize Kerem for the excellent customer service. She was professional, friendly, patient, and made the entire rental process smooth and stress free. She took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I was taken care of from start to finish. It’s not every day you come across someone who genuinely cares about providing great service. Kerem definitely went above and beyond, and she is a great representation of SIXT. I really appreciate her help and would definitely recommend SIXT to anyone looking for a rental car.
