Edited on July 28 after a reply from the owner telling me to submit feedback on Enterprise's website: Thank you for your reply, but in my review, I stated that I already did that on Chat and the agent ended the chat without letting me respond. There is no other way to submit feedback.
On July 17, 2026, I picked up a rental car from the Q Street Enterprise location in Pensacola, Florida. My experience there was phenomenal and I was so pleased with the kindness and courteousness of the employees I worked with. Communication was clear and both of the female employees I spoke with were so helpful and knowledgeable. I left this location so excited because this was my first time renting a car and I was excited to rent from Enterprise again for future road trips, as my personal car is getting up there in miles. I returned this car to the Eustis location with ease, as well.
On July 25, 2026, I picked up another car from the Eustis location to drive me back to Pensacola and unfortunately this experience was quite the opposite of what I experienced initially. I was asked for my Driver’s License and card, which I handed over. I was then told that my debit card would not be sufficient and I must use a credit card. The gentleman who told me this was kind and even called his supervisor to ask for an exception. Of course, none was given; even though I was able to use my debit card initially in Pensacola. I was told that this Enterprise is a different store and requires a credit card because I could drive out of state and cancel my debit card once I hit state lines. I live in Pensacola, located in the same state. Luckily, my friend who dropped me off let me use hers and I reimbursed her myself. But, this situation was embarrassing and such a hassle. I understand the rules, however, the part that frustrates me the most is that I called the day prior because I could not check in online (I’m guessing because my debit card number was not a credit card). So, I called this specific branch and asked what else I needed to do to ensure a timely check in and departure the next morning. The gentleman I spoke to ensured me that this is just a flaw in their system and that everything would be good to go in the morning. This would have been the perfect time to tell me that a credit card was needed. Yet, I was not given that information.
Fast forward to me dropping the car off at the Pensacola Airport (very difficult process, as well, as there are no signs to direct me to where Enterprise is located at this airport, but every other rental company had large signs; also, I called Enterprise and could not get through to an actual person to help me here) and after circling the airport 3 times, going into the Enterprise desk and FINALLY figuring out where to drop off, I spoke with a kind man named Jonathan (exceptional customer service from him!) He could tell I was frustrated and I explained why. He then asks if I would like to delete my friend’s credit card, so that I could use my own debit card. At this point, I had already paid my friend the amount, so no that wasn’t necessary, but WHY can I use a debit card in Pensacola and not in Eustis… in the same state. Also, debit cards actually will not go through unless a certain amount of money is needed on it, as is done by every gas station.
I write this in hopes that communication at every branch will be clear when a customer calls and needs information and help checking in.
Update on July 28: I gave all of this information via chat to Corporate Enterprise to an agent named Natoya. She gave me this information back...
Agent said that there would have been a way for me to use my debit card if my name and address matched, which is does; if I live in the same state of the branch, which I do; and if I provide a utility bill or paystub ( I could have done this, but was never given this as an option on July 25). I was in the middle of responding back to the agent when my chat was closed after one minute of me reading Natoya's response.
