  Rented a van and after a few days the car breaks down and had to get it towed. Next day go to National Destin at the airport and asked to adjust the total amount. Was supposed to receive communication from a so called branch manager. Received a voicemail with no phone number to call back. Send several emails and no response. Not only did I not receive a credit adjustment but they charged nearly $200 more than my initial invoice/agreement. Customer service is atrocious.

  Picked up my car at the airport. - All they had was minivans so I said that’s fine and went with that. They had all my info saved from previous rentals and so it was quick and easy. WHaT I didn’t know because I WASNtT TOLd was it was $150 a day for a minivan!? I checked rates on THIER website it was $67 for the SAMe minivan! I was told it was a Walk up rate- BUt why wasn’t I told the rate or signed for anything? If I would have known the rate I would have Ubered! The minivan was OLd and didn’t accelerate well. The brakes made noises but thankfully it held up 😳 I’m so disappointed I wasn’t informed the price so I could have made a logical decision to say NO! That’s a ridiculous price for an OLd minivan!

  I’ve been looking forward to the opportunity to share my experience. I have never had a more enjoyable rental experience with National, or any other rental car company, than I had with Cheryl at National's Ft. Walton location. We came in and rented a car at the counter, and Cheryl helped accommodate our family at the last minute with such a joyful and friendly spirit. She made the entire experience easy, welcoming, and genuinely memorable. Thank you Cheryl, you are one in a million!
