Crew was helpful to bring some things to the dock, since my wife was still recovering from knee surgery and not able to walk to well. The boat itself is the reason for the 3 stars, and not the crew. The boat did not really have adequate cup holders, the Lowrance depth reader did not even turn on, and the "change engine oil light" came on several times during our outing. Imagine if the engine stopped working in the middle of the water because of that issue?

We are locals who have been renting pontoon boats for many years. This was by far the best experience we have had. The boat was in excellent shape and the engine was higher hp than the usual rental. The check in was quick and easy, parking was readily available. And, you can avoid the harbor congestion!

*** VERY DISHONEST EXPERIENCE *** 2 weeks ago when filling up, I left a gas can at the marina with their permission, as the fuel cap was missing in my jet ski trunk. (LinQ Gas Can, $399), full of 93 gas that I paid them to fill up, in addition to my jet ski. I called last week to say I had an issue with my jet ski dock, and I would be a little longer whilst i waited for a mechanic to fix it. Though the lady was frustrated over holding onto a 5g gas can, she did not say it would be given to a member of the team. When I went to collect today, I told the marina politely that I was local, and I hope that the person who took it returns it as it was expensive. I was told “how do we know you are local” and “you should expect it to be here when you get back, what one of the 3 girls in the office said they would hold it?” I am sure you will not miss the $600 annual gas I won’t spend spend with you, but it’s a sad day when we are taking things that do not belong to us, especially a vendor taking from a customer. ***What example are we setting to our children? ***

The absolute worst nightmare experience I have ever been through. Up front the General Manager, Shae, said all the right things—reassurances, promises, and friendly handshakes. But when it was time to follow through, honor the contracts and agreements, and protect our interests as customers, all of that disappeared. What remained was a general manager who, in our experience, was highly skilled at being deceptive and prioritizing the marina’s sales numbers and bottom line over honoring agreements or doing right by the customer. At every turn we faced broken promises, purposefully vague and dragged out emails, endless delays, and what felt like outright deception. For six months after purchasing from Shae at Legendary Marine, we were left without a reliably working boat and safe, roadworthy trailer. The written “We Owe” obligations were not fulfilled, four repair attempts failed, and neither the purchase agreement nor a witnessed handshake agreement was honored. We were simply trying to find a workable resolution and limit the financial damage already being done to us. We initially agreed to what was presented as a fair swap—our still-broken Cobalt for a consignment NauticStar we could afford. Instead, it became another financial sucker punch. When we arrived to sign, Legendary had increased the NauticStar’s price by roughly $8,000 above its advertised price, allowing the marina to get substantially more money from us than if we had walked in off the street and purchased that same boat outright. We spent more than $12,000 (when it should have cost $0 based on the contractual agreements signed by both parties) trying to resolve this nightmare—a situation that could have and should have been handled properly by Shae and the marina. I have absolutely no trust in Shae and the Legendary Marine in Destin and would never do business with them again. Buyers Beware! **FYI:** If you purchased a used boat from Legendary, carefully inspect underneath the trailer. If you find serious corrosion, document it with photographs and obtain an independent professional inspection. Do not simply accept being told it is “your problem.” You may have complaint or legal options through FLHSMV or an attorney. Feel free to reach out if you need help understanding the steps we took.

I had legendary marina install a Sea Keeper ride system on my 34 foot Buddy Davis from start to finish it was seamless Shannon and the Techs at legendary were awesome hats off to the fiberglass Tech thumbs up my brother pretty work. If you'll ever need any kind of work done your vessel or something like this, which I would highly recommend I would look no further Trevor Hardy and Shannon Brinkley at Legendary Marine For all the cool stuff you want to get done on your vessel, but we're too scared to do it.
