  Where do I start. I took my car in a 2014 GLI Jetta for them to replace the manifold. Also to check two things, the A/C was blowing hot air when idle and the engine started reving up and down. Well! What I was told was 1) I need a new Transmission 2) I need rear break pads 3) I need a new Throttle body 4) I need new fans because my fans are not working. Wait! The fans are not working but I have been driving the car around for weeks and standing still just hot air coming out of vents when idle. Needless to say they wanted $8000.00 dollars to fix my car. It gets better. I was told the car is now overheating because the fans are working. But wait it gets better. They tell me it is not anything they did. But the fan was working and now it's not. They didn't not want to except the blame. Yet the service guy tells me twice that my car is ready and it is running excellent. That he drove it with no issues. So I get in my car and turn it on. And before leaving the lot. The issue starts again with the engine reving up and down. They drive it back to the mechanic and he shakes his head like he doesn't know what to do. The mechanic sits in the car idle and reving the engine then proceeds to tell me my car is overheating. That he cannot trouble shoot it until it cools. So let me get this straight the service guy says my car was running 100%. But it is overheating. Humm how odd that the 2 fans are not working. Week 2 still don't have my car. Now that I go to get it again they keep telling me the fans and they wanted to charge about 1700 dollars to change the fans. But wait! The engine reving up and down was do to a vacuum hose that came off. So I asked why then did you tell me that the throttle body needed to be replaced and that was the cause of the engine reving. I was told because it needed it. Well to make a long story short. This dealership is the worst I have ever been too. I took it there out of convenience because I normally have by brother is a Sr. mechanic for Honda and he is an hour and half away in Miami. If you value your money. Do the research and get quotes elsewhere. $3400.00 later and still I don't have my car.

  I had a great experience with Michael in the service department at Gunther Volvo Cars Delray Beach. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with throughout my recent service visit. My Volvo was having a check engine light issue, and Michael made sure the problem was properly diagnosed, including having a smoke test performed. He kept me informed about what was going on and helped make the entire process much less stressful. The repairs were completed, the check engine light is now off, and Michael also worked with my MaxCare coverage. I ended up only paying my $300 deductible. I really appreciate the way Michael handled everything from start to finish. Good communication and having someone you can trust in the service department makes a big difference. I would definitely recommend Michael and the service department at Gunther Volvo Delray Beach.

  I came here for my first service this week and met with Dominick. He gained my trust right away going through what the vehicle “really” needed in terms of service. He showed me features about the car I didn’t know about. Most of all he went above and beyond to track down the extended warranties I bought but never got copies of. Dominick is instantly my favorite car service specialist of all time, and by the way, a cool dude. Thank you!!

  One of the most satisfying buying experiences I've ever had purchasing an automobile. That's a lot of cars over the years. None of that insufferable back and forth desk bongo between sales and the floor manager. We talked price, met the incentive conditions and worked the trade. As good as it gets right there. Curtis was excellent and represented Volvo with integrity and commitment to the customer experience. Highest recommendation goes to Gunther Volvo. If you're a county north or south of Palm Beach and looking for a Volvo, it's worth the drive.

  Dailey is an excellent service advisor. I rate her 5 starts. However, Gunther Volvo Delray, disappoints… took my car in for regular maintenance and because a warning light was on my dash regarding a secondary battery issue. Apparently, they no longer truly check out what you’re telling them as the light with same warning came on while driving car home after they had it most of the day! I just had back surgery and it was a big deal and took planning to get my car to them. Now I need to do it all over again! This is the 2nd time items have not been addressed. The last time I went was for reg maintenance and I asked that the computer be updated.., Never done. A year later they did it but cost me over $200! Also, they no longer have a cashier! Is that not crazy? The service advisors now have to do that too and it takes longer for us to actually “check out”! I’ve purchased / serviced my Volvo’s there for over 20 years…through various dealership owners. I’m one fraction from being done w/Gunther, can anyone suggest great maintenance garage for Volvo’s near Delray?
