  On Tuesday I visited Mavis in Deland for the second time. They are kind, professional and very reasonable. I had 2 rear put on. Unfortunately on Thursday I somehow got an alan wrench in one of the tires. When I left work in Altamont, I found that I only had A5P. Yes. A and had to call aaa. I was devastated, i called Mavis Deland and spoke with skip, he told me to have the driver. Bring the car there and lay the keys in the night draw up and that he would come in first thing in the morning and take care of it. He came in early and made sure that my car was completed in time for me to get to work in altamont springs on time. Every interaction then I have had with Mavis and Skip has been above par in customer service.I would recommend this location to anyone in need of tires or service.

  Update: I spoke with Skip this morning. He seemed genuinely concerned about my experience and wants to make it right. I want this as well. I’m hoping all goes well and I’ll have my spot for service and they’ll have another happy customer.

  I scheduled my first appointment with Mavis Tires and Brakes for 10am. I arrived a little early but was greeted in a courteous and professional manner. Honestly, I always feel a little intimidated walking into a car repair shop being a female, but Mike at the front desk made me feel at ease that my service (brake inspection) would be done in a thorough manner. Mike kept me up to date on the process and even went over the findings. Thankfully everything ended up being good as regular maintenance is kept on my vehicle. I was pleasantly impressed to be out the door in a timely manner. I highly recommend their business for all your car services. I will definitely use them in the future! Thank you Mike and Staff!

  Today june 25th, my tech Skip Lange was available for a tire repair that was performed quickly when i needed, this is 2nd time that Mavis helps me in an emergency! Great service!!

  I recently moved to central Florida and bought my car for an oil change at the DeLand location. The shop seemed very clean and organized but after taking the car in, the guy at the front desk comes back and tells me the oil plug is stuck and the mechanic is concerned that if they remove it, it would strip the thread. I thought that was unusual because we regularly maintain the car and never any such problems. But he did offer a solution to change the oil pan for only $700. I decided to get a second opinion and take the car to my regular mechanic in Miami who was able to remove the plug and change the oil, no problems. Not a good first impression of Mavis. .
