The rental desk team at National Car Rental in the Daytona Beach airport was surprisingly unhelpful. The vehicle pre‑assigned to me didn’t meet my needs, so I asked about switching to something more suitable, noting my Executive Elite status. Instead of trying to accommodate that, the representative offered a downgrade that was even less appropriate. I pointed out a few other vehicles in the lot that would have worked, but my request was immediately dismissed, with the rep stating the vehicles were already assigned. It was clear they had no interest in helping, so rather than continue pushing for a reasonable alternative, I reluctantly accepted the original assignment. What made the experience even more frustrating is that I was the only customer at the counter — no line, no rush, no reason they couldn’t take a moment to help. They simply chose not to. Really disappointing.

My reserved car was ready on time and in great condition. The employees were professional and friendly. It is easy to get to the rental counter and to the vehicles.
