I have used, recommended Mavis since 2005 (when living in New England). The competence, absolute professionalism, fair prices they were known for up north has clearly carried over to the Dade City, Florida, location. Cathy and her team were happy to help me as an unscheduled appointment. Everyone was friendly, the inside of the store and the service bays were immaculately clean and organized. The staff makes everyone feel welcome and valued. Thank you, Cathy, for the awesome experience. Keep up the great work!

We have used this Mavis Tire in the past and have always had a phenomenal experience. Their customer service was top-notch, and they’ve successfully worked on two of our vehicles before without any issues. Because of that, we felt confident returning again. I wish I remembered the gentleman’s name that has helped me in the past because he not only made wonderful suggestions but never tried to over sell me on anything either. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. We made an appointment earlier this week to drop off our truck and were told everything would be fine. We arrived when they opened, and they took the truck in without hesitation. Hours later, around 3 PM, we received a call telling us they actually couldn’t work on the truck after all. What’s most frustrating is that we were told they knew this from the moment we arrived that morning because the truck is on a lift—yet no one communicated that to us at drop-off. Instead, our vehicle sat there all day, wasting our time and leaving us without answers, and a vehicle that still needed 4 tires and brakes. This was a very disappointing experience compared to the level of service we’ve come to expect from this location. Cassie was nothing but rude, disrespectful and abrasive. Instead of understanding our frustration and reasoning with us she met us with attitude and excuses. She’s going to be the reason they lose loyal customers. We won’t be back as long as she’s there.

Went in to have a rotating wheel noise eliminated; thought on front right. Did an analysis and said right rear brake was worn 60+%. Paid over $600 and noise still there. Went back and new inspection showed suggested right front wheel bearing replacement at $599. Another repair shop quoted $343. Mavis also said suggestion to replace all struts as one showed partial failure at over $1200. Also suggested we replace tires as two had less tread than other two. Car does have 150,000 miles. They were polite but. . .

Extremely disappointed with my service, absolutely want a refund. At first everything was fine, but after discussing price the salesperson did say I could get a discount if I left a review, but it had to be done before the service was completed. I made a comment about how I’m supposed to know how the service will be before it’s done, and if it wasn’t a five-star good review, the salesperson then made a joke about my car “FALLING OFF THE LIFT”. I was appalled so I felt pressured to leave a good review. Once confirmed and with the vehicle on the lift the service advisor told me I had a worn out part. I went back and inspected for myself and did not find the issue as they had described the outer tie rod as having too much play, told me how they came to the conclusion, but was just rocking the tie rod around the joint as it is supposed to work. I told them to continue with the alignment but the advisor said they would not guarantee the alignment. I didn’t agree with the techs surmising of a bad tie rod, so I had them continue as the alignment was quite bad. After the service was finished they told me they could not get the vehicle completely in specifications but was as close as they can do. They provided me with a picture of the readout from after the alignment but could/would not provide me with any information from before the alignment, so I don’t think they actually did anything as I feel no difference in the car, and the steering wheel isn’t straight, it is in the same position as before the alleged ‘service’. I have since gone to 2 separate mechanics and they both said that nothing is wrong with the part the service tech said was bad. I do not want to go back as I do not feel comfortable or safe doing so, I just want my money back because another shop has already fixed the alignment because Mavis could not.

I got 4 new tires April 1st and asked for a full vehicle inspection. Only recommendation was to replace struts. I had to take my car back in on April 18 for an oil change & an alignment since it wasn’t recommended with 4 new tires installation. I again asked for a full vehicle inspection and was told i needed front and rear brakes. I was quoted almost $500 EACH for front and rear brakes/pads. Insane, I got a better quote at the dealership. Staff didn’t seem to care about dirtying my car. As they didn’t put anything to keep their greasy shoes from inside. Also they placed my oil change sticker in the middle of my window on the driver side( see photo)?? I decided to leave my car overnight. I didn’t appreciate being told “ well we bring the cars into the bay just in case you try to come get it after hours”. I took that as I was going to try to get my car to avoid payment. Despite all of the above, staff was friendly.
