My front wheel was left completely loose, without the lug nuts tightened, and the center cap was in the trunk. As soon as I drove off, I made it only about four buildings down the road before the tire was wobbling so badly that I had to immediately turn around. I am extremely upset and disappointed with my experience here, especially because this became a serious safety concern.
I brought my Tesla in after being told they could mount my new tire, balance and rotate my tires, and perform the alignment. When I returned, the employees had already left to get to a training. In their parking lot, we had to put my car on a jack to discover that the lug nuts on my front right tire had not been tightened at all. Luckily, I had everything to replace a tire in my trunk, so we were able to fix the tire ourselves and I have this all documented on video and pictures.
I returned the following morning so they could address the issue and finish the alignment they had not completed the day before. They did not offer me any type of credit or refund! I had to specifically ask for one, and only then was I given a $100 refund. Considering what had happened, I expected them to thoroughly check every wheel before giving the vehicle back to me.
Unfortunately, the following weekend I drove to South Carolina with my children. While on an Army base visiting my daughter, a sergeant noticed a rattling noise coming from my car and told me I should pull over and have it checked. We then discovered a loose lug nut from my FRONT LEFT tire inside the hubcap.
At that point, I was furious. This was now a second wheel with a lug-nut issue, even after the vehicle had been returned to the shop following the first incident.
When I called, I was told it was an “honest human mistake.” not even any kind of a remorse that I travel with my kids in this car! I understand that mistakes happen, but this was not an honest human mistake. It was laziness and carelessness, apparently caused by rushing out because they had training to get to, followed by a lack of due diligence the following day. After the first incident, my vehicle was back in their possession, and they had an opportunity to check every wheel. Finding another loose lug nut afterward is unacceptable.
The next day, we returned to the shop to receive the refund for the remaining balance after calling them about the second tire. They did not even have the decency to apologize to us in person. After they gave us the final refund, we asked, “That’s it? No apology, nothing?” The employee looked at us and said, “Yeah, it’s already been settled.”
I was traveling across state lines with my children in this vehicle. This was not simply an inconvenience—it made me seriously question the safety and quality-control procedures being followed. I would never recommend this shop
