  After a mishap with my family members having out of state ID’s. We were still able to get the rental the same day. They actually ended up renting out the SUV we wanted and exchanged it for a mini van for the same weekly price. They took a deposit but immediately refunded it upon return. The van was super clean! The staff were easy going and friendly. We will be using them again for future renting needs!

  Car was not very clean inside, food crumbs and animal hair everywhere. It also smelled like rotten food and had a stained-up interior. Additionally, it needs an alignment bad and pulls to the left so hard that my arm physically started hurting from having to pull on the wheel my entire 5 hour drive (one way). Because of the animal hair (did not know I was renting an animal friendly vehicle), I had an allergic reaction during my drive when I must have gotten one of the hairs on my face or in my eyes/mouth/nose. I actually had to stop at a rest station and buy allergy meds because I was not going to be able to make the remaining three hours of my drive without some type of medicine to keep my allergy symptoms at bay. I also ended up buying an air freshener to try to mask the smell in the vehicle, that way myself and all of my belongings didnt smell like rotten food by the time i got to my corporate dinner that evening. I would recommend letting renters know in advance if an animal has been in the vehicle, as not all people can tolerate animal hair. I did come home and try to clean the vehicle and vacuum it, but had limited time before I had to leave. Additionally, my rental pick up was 10am, when I arrived at 10am, I was told it would be 15-30 mins, as the car i was waiting to get was just dropped off at 10am, and that it was a late drop off, that it had been scheduled to be dropped off at 8am. So I had to wait for it to be (poorly) cleaned, which then set me back on my time to leave my house for the travels, as I not only got back to my house later than anticipated due to that delay, but I also had to spend time and energy cleaning the vehicle as much as possible, so i felt comfortable driving it for my travels. Also, the staff at the chiefland, FL location did NOT do a walk around before releasing the vehicle to me, so no one noted the stains or poor condition of the cleanliness.. also, when I dropped the vehicle off at this same location, they did not do a walk around with me either. Thankfully this isnt my first rodeo, so I made sure to document by video the interior and exterior of the vehicle prior to leaving the location and right before I walked in to return the keys back at this location. The staff member did make sure I knew where the gas tank button was, along with the button to open the trunk, and showed how the push to start worked, but that was the extent of my interaction with the staff at this location.
