Extremely Disappointing Service — My Jet Ski AND Trailer Were Damaged
I recently took my well-maintained 2022 Sea-Doo Jet Ski in for routine annual service. What should have been a simple service appointment turned into an extremely frustrating experience that left both my Jet Ski and trailer damaged.
When I dropped it off, I was told it would be ready the next day and that they would call me. No one called. I called and left a message, and my call was finally returned the following day—with the unfortunate news that they had damaged my trailer while it was in their possession.
I agreed to allow them to repair the trailer, specifically stating that the repair needed to be completed to my satisfaction. I was told it would take only a couple of days.
Four or five days later, after receiving no update, I called again and left another message. Again, no return call. I called the following day and was told everything was ready.
I drove there to pick up my Jet Ski and trailer only to discover that the trailer tongue was STILL bent. I told the Service Manager that this was not an acceptable repair and that I wanted the damaged tongue replaced. They agreed. They also agreed to deliver the Jet Ski, so I left without either the Jet Ski or trailer.
Then I discovered another problem: the latch for the Jet Ski’s glove box had been broken. They denied breaking it, despite the fact that it was not broken when I brought the Jet Ski in.
A couple of days later, I received another call saying it was ready.
When I later returned to pick up the trailer, I discovered that they had NOT done what we had agreed upon regarding the trailer repair. Instead, I was essentially informed that what they had already done was all they were going to do.
I also had to insist that the broken glove-box latch be addressed. Eventually, they agreed only to provide me with the replacement part—leaving me to install it myself.
So, to summarize:
I brought them a well-maintained 2022 Sea-Doo Jet Ski and a trailer that had only been used approximately six times. Both were damaged while in their care. Communication throughout the process was poor, promised callbacks did not happen, the agreed-upon trailer repair was not completed, and I was left to replace a damaged Jet Ski part myself.
And after all of that, they still expected me to pay the ENTIRE service bill.
I understand that accidents happen. What determines the quality of a business is how it responds when something goes wrong. In my experience, the real problem wasn’t simply that damage occurred—it was the lack of communication, the failure to follow through on agreed repairs, and the unwillingness to fully make things right.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service department and would not trust them with my Jet Ski or trailer again.
