  Jesus was kind , fun , informative. We went to look only and bought a used Class A motorhome . He couldn’t have been nicer and is an asset to this company . It was a very good experience . No high pressure sales , he listened and gave us information that we didn’t know . I highly recommend Jesus and Camping World Bartow . Very good people , easy transaction .

  We desperately needed a new power cord for our RV. They had one in stocks. We barely arrived before closing. But Matthew England was so kind and helpful, he stayed until we got there and made sure we had the right part! Thank y'all sooo much!

  A Disappointing Buying Experience Camping World Bartow FL I want to clarify that I was not the customer; I was helping a longtime friend purchase his first RV. I’ve been involved in the RV industry for most of my life, have experience with RV acquisitions, and am a full-time “Class A” RV owner myself. My friend asked me to help evaluate the units he was considering. I want to start by saying that Jesus in RV Sales was excellent. He was knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. Unfortunately, the experience changed when we met with TJ (finance & inside paperwork) to finalize the deal. My friend was interested in an older trailer and was willing to put down a deposit provided the outdated tires were replaced and a broken front leveling jack was repaired. He also wanted confirmation that the major systems, such as the A/C, refrigerator, and water heater, were functioning properly. We were presented with an additional $2,000 package covering items such as tires, batteries, appliances, and a technician walkthrough. While I understand dealers offer additional products and services, my concern was that we were being asked to pay this fee in order to have basic items inspected and addressed on a unit being sold as a normal retail listing—not a clearly advertised handyman special. When I explained my concerns and advised my friend to carefully consider the purchase, TJ became confrontational and told me, essentially, to “shut up” because I wasn’t the customer. Regardless of whether I was the buyer, I was there at the request of the customer, and that response was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. More importantly, it made my friend feel uncomfortable during what should have been an exciting first RV purchase. Ultimately, my advice was for my friend not to proceed with the purchase. Unfortunately, this experience also changed my opinion of Camping World as a potential place to do business in the future. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. A little additional training, better communication, and perhaps some secret shopping of the customer experience could go a long way. Jesus was a great representative of the company, but the interaction with TJ overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. I’m sharing this because I believe consumers—especially first-time RV buyers—should have someone knowledgeable in their corner and should feel respected throughout the buying process.

  So I called there and asked to make an appointment to have a Curt WD hitch put on. After telling them my set up they suggested I go with the 8k. I have a 25’ Airstream. I said that I would feel more comfortable with the 10k. So we proceeded with that. They said I did not need an appointment and to just come in on the day. Well, come to find out that I really need a 12k because my tongue weight is 1,000 lbs. Do a better job educating your people. What a waste of money not to mention how unsafe that was for me to drive 1,300 miles by myself. And one more thing, all your people that are horribly unfriendly (except for two) act like they can’t be bothered to look up from their computer screens. I know they aren’t doing anything important. The only lady that was nice and smiled and was friendly was the lady a the checkout counter.

  DO NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY - We regretfully bought a travel trailer from Bartow, FL. We had repair issues, no communication, awful service, etc. We traded in our RV to a different dealership and our warranty refund is past due. We cancelled our warranty on May 19th. On May 20th, we were told by the finance manager that we would receive our refund within 3 to 4 weeks. After 6 weeks, I emailed with no response. I called with no return calls. I either get an excuse that she is closing a deal, out to lunch, etc. and will return my call within 15 minutes. No return calls or emails. It is now 9 weeks and still no refund. My husband called and was on hold for 40 minutes. Meanwhile, I called corporate and filed a complaint. I then called while husband was on hold and told the operator that either he needed to be transferred or I needed to that all of this is being placed on BBB and I've already complained to corporate, the general manager was all of a sudden available to speak to my husband. He then stated that yesterday (9 weeks) they filed our refund. He said it would be expedited. Let me tell you, you have to stay on top of them, call corporate, email corporate and keep records in order to put fire under their butt. Do yourself a favor........stay away from Bartow and/or Camping World.
